Q155: Pleasing Amma?
Question 155:
“What are the actions or attitude from your side that you think would please Amma the most?”
Please reflect deeply and sincerely on the matter before answering. Please make your answer clear and brief (maximum 5 or 6 lines).
Serve others like I would serve Amma Herself.
Keep up with spiritual practices and be kind
Be a Role Model of AMMA, Selflessly Love All, Unconditionally Serve ALL, be ever an obedient servant In AMMA.
I dont know how to make AMMA happy. My efforts in my current life are pretty limited and i feel that my life’s sort of running round in circles. Just happy to have AMMA in my life, so i must have done something right, thankfully.
To help the needy by doing seva or by donating money to charity. To try to be nice to all and try to see God in all and everything. This is a very complex task, but we have to keep this in mind and work towards it. This sincere efforts from our side will make Amma happy and Amma will help us to succeed in our efforts. There will be great spiritual progress.
From my darshan experiences, I felt that Amma gave me more when i was open with Her and sometimes naughty. I think She shows me that She is pleased with me most when I abandon all pretenses and consider Her closest to my heart.
try to focus on the goal…try to listen to her words and imbibe Her teachings….try our level best….’try’ because it’s intensely hard – and we are blessed that Amma has infinite patience and wisdom, knows our limitations, and knows we are all children doing as best as we can.
The day when I start loving all equally that day I think Amma would be most pleased with me because Amma says “To love Amma truly is to love all equally”.
From my understanding and experiences which Amma has given, i think Amma is pleased whenever i help others, think of her or do some good deed. for e.g. One day a hungry cow came in front of our house and we made her chapatis which she ate. After that when i looked at Amma’s photo, it seemed that she would come out from her photo and love me. Amma is always happy watching over us lovingly.

I would hold her slipper’s close to my heart and say Amma please help me. I have nothing left with. I have only one way and it is to surrender you. I can neither get you through this mind nor through my heart because these are not mine they are yours. So just a surrender to you!
Follow fully the path of our most beloved Amma. That is best way to please our Guru. If we are able to love unconditionally each and every living beings, then we would succeed. Amma always give an example: ie if we hurt our one eye with our hand, we will rub it with the other hand, or if we bite our tongue by mistake, we never punish our teeth. We must have the attitude that all the living beings are like our own limbs.
Personally, I think as long as I have the Lakshya-bodha (one-pointedness) for self realization, and do my spiritual practices daily without falling sway to the material pleasures, Amma will be very happy. The rest are just the details!!
Actually I don’t believe there is anything I can do to make Amma pleased with me. God doesn’t need anything from us. When we do things for God or with God in mind, it benefits us. But I think Amma puts on the bhava of being pleased with us when it is appropriate to our growth and upliftment. Everything She does is perfect for the person and circumstances involved.
Selfless Service to mankind and remembering GOD all the time
By observing certain things I believe when we are able to serve others wholeheartedly AMMA loves us the most (or in other words we can get Her blessings when we open our hearts to receive it through such kind of actions)…and practicing spirituality is the only way to do that…
Amma said recently:“Love is the best medicine to overcome diseases like anger, greed and selfishness. We should make sure that the flame of compassion in our hearts does not go out, and practice spirituality to achieve the goal of our birth.’’ 🙂
If our neighbor has bad qualities let us pray to the ALMIGHTY to give him good qualities. This must be our prayer. If this is done purely, AMMA surely love us.
In order to please Amma I have to love everyone or atleast adjust with my friends, colleagues and family when-ever possible.
I feel AMMA would like all her children to reach her level fast and till then SHE wont rest
I cannot begin to know what would most please Amma. I think that a good place for me to start to please Amma would be to do my best to offer love and acceptance to all. To live life understanding the oneness of the world, to live a selfless life in service of others.
Mahesvaran…That I believe is the Impersonal Absolute. Amma is the personal God with a Mission!! True Amma puts on a bhava so that what we do towards achieving Self-Realization does please Amma. That again as you said is perfect for the person and his/her Soul-path (Prarabhdha)
Offering everything at Her feet. A serving heart. I hope we are to some extent doing good jobs out of it. The posts over here inspired me greatly! Thank you so much for everything Amma!

Actually , still i dont know what will please her. But only one thing i know unconditional obidience to the guru (ie, amma)will take us to a a level which will actually please her.

Serve others as Amma does. Adopt the path of forgiveness. Be compassionate, kind, grateful and generous. Be optimistic and positive. Do the prayers sincerly and regularly.All this will definetely please Amma.

Be sincere in our regular spiritual practices and make your mind and heart innocent enough so that AMMA can be there through us wherever we go and serve the needy. It is all about serving the world with right attitude. Remembering the golden words of AMMA to an European devotee – “if you take me, i will be there”.
I ask to Be Love in my life! And to share, as Amma says it, her gift “in the right way.” What a joy to bring any of Amma’s gift, of true Love, to anyone anywhere in this world! Thank you, Amma, for bringing Love to me and to this world!!
Amma has said “Be like a beginner”. I think innocence and sincerity please Amma.

amma always says that we need to transform ourselves first. we need to change or we should be the change . amma will be happy if i am able to transform myself in to a better person and try to be a little more caring , little more loving , little more sharing , a bit more patient and then start experiencing the joy.

I’m trying my best …
Amma will be pleased if she sees her kids doing selfless service to poor and needy and contributing to her dream of making this earth where as Sge says:
“Everyone in the world should sleep without fear,
at least for one night, sleep without fear.
Everyone in the world should eat to their fill,
at least for one day, eat to their fill
There should be one day when there is no violence,
no one is injured, no one is harmed.”
I feel I am not doing enough to please Amma.I find my self unable to come out of routine work and do anything special. Is it not waste of life.
To be free of conflict, ans established in Supreme Peace. Then we forget ourselves in an overwhelming reverence and awe for all of creation, thus loving every object equally as our very own Self. When the mind dissolves, where is the question of trying to love and serve, it then becomes our very state of being and doing in the world, spontaneous and without effort.
I think what will please Amma the most is my attitude as a servant of the Lord offering everything at his feet with utmost humility , serving the Lord day in and day out and accepting whatever the Lord gives as his utmost grace. And living in the understanding that whatever may happen in the external world is only a dream.
Everyone prays before a deity, to bestow blessings as wealth, a big house, good job, beautiful wife, intelligent kids..But who ever prays to God to make him, like God himself, bestowed with jnana and vairagya? Incessant prayer , She wil never neglect.
