Daily we have been distributing something or the other as some families start preparing to go back to their villages. The government has started sending people to estimate damage &amp; loss suffered by individuals so those who are able to go back want to get back so that they can meet the officials and get what is due to them.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1067\" title=\"tarpaulin-tent-distribution\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/tarpaulin-tent-distribution.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A few days back the temperatures suddenly dropped so we distributed blankets to all the people.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1064\" title=\"eclairs-distribution\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/eclairs-distribution.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The children in the camp are as small children generally are &#8211; happy and carefree. The eclairs and candy bars that we distributed added to their joy!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1066\" title=\"sweets-for-diwali\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/sweets-for-diwali.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Diwali was a special day &#8211; again there was a distribution of rasogullas for the children.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1063\" title=\"diwali-food\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/diwali-food.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The lunch was special with puris and payasam and all.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1062\" title=\"children-wearing-new-clothes\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/children-wearing-new-clothes.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>New clothes were given to all the children. Some immediately went and cleaned up and changed into their new clothes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1061\" title=\"blanket-distribution\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/blanket-distribution.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Tarpaulin tents were distributed to all the families in the camp on the same day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1065\" title=\"parliament-of-children\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2008\/12\/parliament-of-children.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"267\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At night we burst crackers and sizzled sizzlers and sent rockets zooming into the sky &#8211; with a very excited group of children hopping all over the place.<\/p>\n<p>The doctors and nurses have been busy. There has been a very heavy crowd waiting for their turn from day one.
