{"id":1956,"date":"2009-06-18T17:40:56","date_gmt":"2009-06-18T12:10:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/?p=1956"},"modified":"2009-06-18T17:40:56","modified_gmt":"2009-06-18T12:10:56","slug":"twirles-unison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/2009\/1956\/","title":{"rendered":"twirles in unison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>16 June 2009<\/p>\n<p>Tonight&#8217;s bhajans were included the other new Siva Bhajan: Iswara Parameshwara.\u00a0 It&#8217;s one of the more upbeat of the new bhajans with a rousing repetition of Siva Siva Hara Hara that transforms into Sankara Abhayankara at the end.\u00a0 Beautiful bhajan.<\/p>\n<p>The stage decorations are a wonderful collage of red, pink, and orange pastels decorated with hanging Chinese-style lanterns.\u00a0\u00a0 Swami Poornamrita and Swami Pranavamrita have been adding their flute and mrdangam (drum) to each bhajan &#8211; especially to Arati where Swami Poornamirta lends a sweet introduction.<\/p>\n<p>The hall was standing room only with a large crowd listening just outside in the lobby &#8211; the doors opened and speakers allowing everyone to participate.\u00a0 Amma even let people sit on the stage to make more room.<\/p>\n<p>Even with the hall so crowded, off to the side, a mother and daughter were twirling and dancing in rhythm to the beat.
