<\/a><\/p>\nNative Mexican Aztec dancers from a group called Circulo Solar Ollin Xochipilli put on a performance in the traditional Danza Azteca style.\u00a0 The three dances represented a specific energy or aspect of nature.\u00a0 The first was the Mazatl (little deer), the second was for fire, and the third was in the Nahuat language which is native to central Mexico.<\/p>\n
The second group put on two dances – the first from Haiti, the second from Mali.\u00a0\u00a0 The Hatian dance was called ‘Yanvalou’ and represented the movements of a snake through the water and it’s regenerative symbolism.\u00a0\u00a0 This was followed by a life-celebratory dance from Mail called ‘1988’. Next was a local Sufi group with whirling dervish dancers.<\/p>\n
If the cultural events of the day were not enough, at the end of darshan, Amma fulfilled her promise to sing and the microphone was again brought.\u00a0 Again, the crowd moved forward in anticipation, and Amma began to sing Meri Jhopadi!\u00a0\u00a0 Again, Ramanand lent his wonderful vocalizations at the end.<\/p>\n
The last night was Devi Bhava and Amma wore a dark red sari.\u00a0\u00a0 In the early evening, news had spread of Michael Jackson’s passing.\u00a0 During their bhajan set, the Ayudh youth group added ‘Will You Be there’ (by Michael Jackson) to their song list.\u00a0 Some years back, a resident of Amritapuri had adapted this theme song from the movie ‘Free Willy’ to be sung by Amma’s international children. Amma loved the melody and inspiring words, and in the following months, She often requested that it be sung during Her darshan programs both in India and abroad.<\/p>\n
