{"id":2267,"date":"2009-09-28T18:28:02","date_gmt":"2009-09-28T12:58:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/?p=2267"},"modified":"2009-09-28T18:30:33","modified_gmt":"2009-09-28T13:00:33","slug":"personification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/2009\/2267\/","title":{"rendered":"Amma \u2013 the personification of selflessness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>26 Sep 2009<\/p>\n<p><em>Interview with Mr. Sudhesh &amp; Mr. Brahmanandan, boatmen of\u00a0 Vallickavu jetty<\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2009\/09\/brahmanandan.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2270\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;\" title=\"brahmanandan\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2009\/09\/brahmanandan.jpg\" alt=\"brahmanandan\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>We have been here for many years and have known Amma in Her younger days.\u00a0 We remember Amma as the One who always used to help the distressed, wherever they were, as much as she helped people in and around her own village.\u00a0 The Ashram, under Amma&#8217;s guidance, has grown in stature and service by leaps and bounds over the years.\u00a0 A lot of social work with love is the specialty of this Ashram.<\/p>\n<p>Amma has no rest as she has to ensure that everybody around her is benefitted.\u00a0 The very presence of Amma enriches the place, making it holy.\u00a0 Foe every human being, it is really good to know that there is somebody who can hear his\/her problems and provide solutions.\u00a0 It is only the presence of Amma that brings people from all over the globe over to this place.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2009\/09\/sudesh.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-2271\" style=\"border: 2px solid black; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px;\" title=\"sudesh\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2009\/09\/sudesh.jpg\" alt=\"sudesh\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a>Our lives are indeed a standing testimony to some of Amma&#8217;s miracles.\u00a0 One event that struck our chords was when we had the opportunity to work with Amma during the tsunami relief days.\u00a0 It was one of the best experiences that we love to remember always.
