\"vijayalakshmi\"<\/a>Ms.Vijayalakshmi, Principal of Amrita Vidyalayam, Kochi has been a follower of Amma for the past 18 years. We met her accidentally along with her collegue Ambika during Amma’s 56th birthday celebration<\/a> on September 25, 2009 at Amritapuri.
\nVijayalakshmi could not control her emotions when talking about Amma. Her heart and soul is filled with Amma as she feels the presence of Amma in each and every breath of her life. In 1994, she had a miraculous experience which reinforced her trust in Amma.
\nShe was hospitalized for a major surgery. The cause of this health problem has been irritating her for past couple of years and surgery was the only solution recommended by doctors. She had never told Amma about this problem ever before.
\nOn the day of surgery, the doctor called her husband and had discussions with him on the procedures. Vijayalakshmi’s anxiety, tension and stress was increasing as she awaited to be operated, in her ward. Finally the doctor and her husband came to her ward and conveyed the matter that the surgery is going to take place that day itself. Just a few hours before the start of the surgery, her doctor received a telephone call. The caller told him that he was calling as per the instruction of\u00a0 ‘Mataji’ and conveyed him not to perform this surgery and disconnected the phone.
\nDoctor did not know what to do and conveyed this matter to Vijayalakshmi’s husband.\u00a0 On hearing this she had nothing else to think. She requested the doctor to withhold the surgery and allow her to get discharged from the hospital. Vijayalakshmi remembers that at that time Amma was in San Francisco.
\nEven after fifteen years from that day, she has not faced any health issues related to that surgery. She believes the condition which required the surgery was cured only because of Amma’s blessings. Vijaylakshmi believes that Amma will be with everyone who is in need and show the right path to follow in their life. She feels honored to have gotten a chance to serve in one of Amma’s institution and considers this as one of the most satisfying task of her life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
