It reminds one of Shelley\u2019s famous line, \u201cIf winter comes, can spring be far behind?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Here is all color. Amma is right now residing in the heart center of the world, Amritapuri.<\/p>\n<p>Some years ago when Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham students created large pookkalams infront of Amma\u2019s doorstep, Amma was delighted to see nature\u2019s beauty laid by those whose hearts had come together as one. Furthermore, \u00a0Amma showed them, through pookkalam design, the meaning and relevance of dharma in life.<\/p>\n<p>In recent times Amma has been drawing attention of one and all to the stark realities of the natural world and the evils of squandering money.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5008\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5008\" style=\"width: 450px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5008\" title=\"onam1\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2012\/08\/onam1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5008\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pookalam on 1st day of Onam, Ganesh Chaturthi day<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>So, this time, Amma\u2019s children from Amrita Technologies and Amrita Research Labs have chosen to create pookkalams in a different way. They do not buy flowers like in the past. They use flowers growing \u00a0in Amritapuri.
