The name of the place means the home of Baba Nanak. This was where he spent his last years, living life as an ordinary farmer. Guru Nanak was the founder saint of Sikhism. Though he himself did not propound it as a separate religion, in later days it assumed a distinctive character of its own. But many still think of it as coming under the wider ambit of Hinduism.

This is also the first of the BSF (Border Security Force) camps that we have covered. Actually we are on an India wide project, teaching the paramilitary forces Amma’s IAM Meditation Technique.
Amma’s grace has now taken the shape of Meditation for the paramilitary in India.

Initially we were unsure of how it would be received by the jawans, but were so pleasantly surprised to see that they took to the meditation like duck to water. During the classes we see so many immersed in meditation. And they do experience lots of peace and energy. All Amma’s grace.

In recent times there have been many cases where jawans have shot their seniors or committed suicide. And right when this trend is on the rise Amma has extended Her hand to them, helping them find peace and solace.

We have ten teams working in different areas –
Jammu & Kashmir – Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Jammu, Samba, Indreshwar Nagar
Assam – Silchar, Shillong, Guwahati
Mizoram – Aizwal
Manipur – Bagaffa
Meghalaya – Tura,
Rajasthan – Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Barmer
West Bengal – Kalyani, Krishnanagar, Malda, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Siliguri
Gujarat – Gandhinagar, Bhuj
Punjab – Dera Baba Nanak, Amritsar, Abhohar
Tripura – Panisagar, Gokul Nagar, Udaipur

And after this there are so many other classes, all waiting in the aisles.
