(claps her hands)<\/p>\n<p>What was the happiest moment?<br \/>Oh, when I had to speak on the mic, but couldn&#8217;t stop laughing!!<\/p>\n<p>And what did you say?<br \/>I said that I am Gayamrita, 4 years old, and that I live in Italy. Then I said loud: &#8216;I love Ammaaaaa!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Why do you love Amma?<br \/>Because she gives darshan and prasad!<\/p>\n<p>What do you like more darshan or prasad?<br \/>Prasad! And my favorite darshan is Devi Bhava darshan!<\/p>\n<p>Why?<br \/>Because Amma wears a beautiful crown and a nice colorful sari. It can be blue, or yellow, or red&#8230;. On other days Amma just wears normal white saris&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>If you could offer a gift to Amma for Xmas, what would it be?<br \/>A prasad! &#8230;. the orange candy&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>You mean the same one that She gives? Nothing else?<br \/>Oh well, yes, the best would be a &#8216;Torta Caprese&#8217;!! I love &#8216;Tirta Caprese&#8217;, my favorite! (It&#8217;s an italian chocolate cake with nuts, Gayamrita&#8217;s dad explains)<\/p>\n<p>So, what did you love the most in the plays?<br \/>When me and all the children sang &#8216;Namah Sivaya&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>What would you ask Amma to offer you for Xmas?<br \/>(thinking).. a Winnie the Pooh doll&#8230; and his friends too&#8230;all his friends! He has many friends, that&#8217;s why they make them small&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Oh?<br \/>But I don&#8217;t want those produced in some countries where they make children work hard!<\/p>\n<p>Would you like to be here for Xmas again next year?<br \/>If Amma gives the cake, Yes!<\/p>\n<p>What do you like more the cake or darshan?<br \/>The cake! The cake with cappucino would be the best! Darshan is nice too, but I can have it any other day!<\/p>\n<p>So, if you could choose one, what would you choose?<br \/>&#8230;. I love Amma!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>What was the best moment?<\/p>\n<p>When I said, \u201cHellooo, everybody!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>What else did you guys do?<\/p>\n<p>We sang \u201cOm Namah Shivaya.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Why did you participate in all of this?<\/p>\n<p>Well, because my grandma asked me too! <\/p>\n<p>Did you also have darshan?<\/p>\n<p>Oh Yeah! I went for darshan, and after Amma also put the chocolate cake right in my hand! I was really happy. <\/p>\n<p>Why do you like Amma?<\/p>\n<p>I like Amma because she always gives sweets! And also because she loves everybody. <\/p>\n<p>If you could tell Amma something for Christmas what would you tell Her?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ll tell her that I love her very much. <\/p>\n<p>Can I ask you more questions?<\/p>\n<p>No, no, that&#8217;s all&#8230; [At this point, Meenakshi runs off to join play with her friends.] <\/p>\n<p>*****************<br \/>Maisie, seven-year-old, England<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2006\/12\/maisie.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"float:right;margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer;cursor:hand\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2006\/12\/maisie-200x300.jpg\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Did you see the Christmas play?<\/p>\n<p>Yes! I was part of it!<br \/>What did you do?<\/p>\n<p>I said who I was, my name, age and then I shouted loud: &#8216;I love Amma!&#8217;<br \/>And why to you love Amma?<\/p>\n<p>Because she spreads her love everywhere<br \/>What else did you do?<\/p>\n<p>All the children sang, \u201cOm Namah Shivaya,\u201d and I was right behind the mic! <\/p>\n<p>What was the most special moment for you?<\/p>\n<p>When Amma gave the cake at the end. It was delicious&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>What is your overall feeling?<\/p>\n<p>I was happy! The play was really lovely&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>If you could ask Amma for something for Christmas what would it be?<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d ask her for a pet hamster! And I&#8217;d love it sooo much! <\/p>\n<p>What is Christmas?<\/p>\n<p>Christmas is when Jesus was born. <\/p>\n<p>How do you know that?<\/p>\n<p>Because it&#8217;s written in many books&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>Do you love your friends?<\/p>\n<p>Oh yes! Very much. <\/p>\n<p>And why so?<\/p>\n<p>Because they help me. <\/p>\n<p>What if they stopped helping you?<\/p>\n<p>They will, they will. But I could bare the pain and continued holding it&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>What did you do during the play?<\/p>\n<p>I introduced my self, said I was from Canada, and later I carried the candles with three other kids. <\/p>\n<p>What else?<\/p>\n<p>I sang, &#8216;Aum Namah Shivaya&#8217; and &#8216;Wish you a Merry Christmas.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p>What is the difference with the celebrations here and those in Canada?<\/p>\n<p>Well, in Canada I get many more presents, and there is no snow here. But here, I was with Amma! So, the celebrations here are more spiritual and we sing bhajans. <\/p>\n<p>If you could ask Amma for something for Christmas what would it be?<\/p>\n<p>I think I&#8217;d ask for an Amma doll! <\/p>\n<p>Did you have fun during the programs?<\/p>\n<p>Oh yes! We were seeing ourselves when we were singing, and we come make faces and laugh. It was so funny&#8230; <\/p>\n<p>What else?<\/p>\n<p>Well, me and my brother kept making funny sounds on the mic. <\/p>\n<p>What sounds?<\/p>\n<p>Like. \u201cHi, hi, hi,\u201d and laugh and stuff. It was real fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Vishwapath, 9 years, Spain<\/p>\n<p>Did you partcipate in the Xmas programs?<br \/>Yes! And I liked it very much.<\/p>\n<p>What did you like most?<br \/>When Gayamrita, the small italian girl couldn&#8217;t stop laughing when she was supposed to speak on the mic&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What was your part?<br \/>I said my name. I said that I am now in India, but was born in Spain&#8230; Then I said that I loved Amma<\/p>\n<p>Why do you love Amma?<br \/>Because She loves everybody! And She hugs us all, and is smiling all the time&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Anything else you did during the programs?<br \/>Well, I wanted to sing more, but the adults came, and they also wanted to sing&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>What is different between Xmas here and Xmas in Spain?<br \/>In Spain they give more toys and the parties are bigger&#8230; But here we are more free and Amma is here<\/p>\n<p>What would you tell Amma on this day?<br \/>I would tell Her: &#8216;Merry Xmas Amma!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>And what would you offer to Amma for Xmas?<br \/>My drawings and paintings.<\/p>\n<p>Would you want to be here for Xmas next year too?<br \/>Yes, I think I&#8217;ll be here&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;<\/p>\n<p>Priyan<br \/>27 dec 2006<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Christmas Eve, many Western children visiting Amritapuri put on a short play for Amma.
