The program was held at the Marriott Pyramid North hotel in an indoor hall. At about 3:30 PM, the power went off in the program hall and it became pitch dark (yes, power cut happens in US too!). Someone brought a cell phone near Amma to illuminate Amma using its light. This was followed by someone else brining a laptop. Video cameras followed with their flash lights to illuminate Amma\u2019s area. There was a silence in the hall and suddenly people started chanting \u2018Om Amriteshwaryai Namaha\u2019. In a few minutes, the power came back and the entire hall was again illuminated with light. The word Guru means \u2018the light that removes the darkness\u2019. When we pray to the Guru during the dark times of our lives, the Guru removes the darkness by bringing in light.<\/p>\n<p>In today\u2019s satsang, Amma emphasized on cultivating patience.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of bhajans from today\u2019s program:<br \/>\nDayakaro Tum (Hindi) &#8211; New<br \/>\nSundar Hai Nayana Tere (Hindi) &#8211; New<br \/>\nSamsara Dukha Samanam (Malayalam)<br \/>\nMata Rani (Punjabi)<br \/>\nManasa Vacha (in Spanish \u2013 there are a lot of Spanish speaking people in New Mexico)<br \/>\nVilvattal Archittom (Tamil)<br \/>\nJai Jai Janani Jai Ho Teri (Hindi)<\/p>\n<p>We could only pray to Amma like the lyrics in the \u201cSamsara Dukha Samanam\u201c bhajan from today \u2013 \u201cCast a glance with Thy beautiful glowing eyes on my mind.
