Located on the hillside above flood ravaged areas of Chandrapuri, Batwadi found room for us to build 15 &#8220;Amma Houses&#8221; scattered across their fields. Women young and old, children, and eventhe men are there working with us a every turn.<\/p>\n<p>The Pipal Tree Temple is the heart of Batwadi and serves as the open air meeting space for all village events.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8479\" src=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2016\/03\/bitwadi.jpg\" alt=\"bitwadi\" width=\"600\" height=\"397\" srcset=\"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2016\/03\/bitwadi.jpg 600w, https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2016\/03\/bitwadi-450x298.jpg 450w, https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/blogs\/files\/2016\/03\/bitwadi-500x331.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We have built a community center surrounding this ancient tree to bring all of those functions indoors.
