{"id":282,"date":"2007-02-06T17:45:00","date_gmt":"2007-02-06T12:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/media\/archives\/282"},"modified":"2014-12-29T23:31:58","modified_gmt":"2014-12-29T18:01:58","slug":"the-new-amma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/e.amritapuri.org\/media\/archives\/282","title":{"rendered":"The new Amma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The new amma in Karunanidhi&#8217;s life<\/p>\n<p>Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi, said to be a hardcore atheist and who had on several occasions reprimanded party men for flirting with religion now seems to have no problems with spiritual leaders.<\/p>\n<p>A few weeks ago Karunanidhi shared the stage with godman Sathya Sai Baba and this time it was with spiritual guru Mata Amritanandamayi.<\/p>\n<p>So unlike Tamil Nadu&#8217;s political amma, former chief minister Jayalalitha, this amma has struck the right chord with the Chief Minister.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mata Amritanandamayi was born in coastal Kerala and she is like a pearl that the sea gives us.
