President Ram Nath Kovind will arrive in Amritapuri Ashram on October 8th at 11 am . He will inaugurate three charity programs of the Ashram – Rural drinking water supply, Village Sanitation work, and Health care for the poor.
This is President’s maiden visit to Kerala.
In Western Odisha, Ayudh group of Kalahandi had a program of bhajan, archana, food and clothes distribution in one of the remotest tribal areas on 19 Sep 2017.
Matruvani campaign winners of 2017 will receive prizes from the hands of our beloved Amma on 9th Oct, on her birthday at Amritapuri. Congratulation to all the campaigners who are working 365 days to spread Amma’s message.
A special element was featured in a rally for village cleanliness in Maira, Punjab. Children carried posters asking villagers to save water and stop littering. The children made this decision to step forward and ask that we take care of our environment.
The rally in Maira included an Amala Bharatam Cleanup of the village, Amma’s campaign for public cleanliness that is in support of the Indian government’s Swacch Bharat Mission. They discussed how vital it is to keep the village and surrounding area trash free.
37 people took part in this campaign in a village with a population of 290.

अम्मा के दर्शन के पश्चात योगगुरु श्रीरामदेवजी बाबा अम्मा के साथ भजन हॉल में आये। अम्मा ने उन्हें आश्रमवासियों को संबोधित करने का अनुरोध किया।
इस अवसर पर अपने प्रबोधन में वे बोले, ‘‘मैं पहली बार माँ के दर्शन के लिये आया हूँ और एक दिव्य माँ का सान्निध्य, स्पर्श, करुणा, और आचरण कैसा होता है, यह अभी मैंने कुछ ही पलों में अनुभव किया। मैंने माँ के बारे में बहुत सुना था कि माँ बहुत करुणामय हैं, वो बहुत सेवाकार्य कर रही हैं। शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में सेवा, स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र में सेवा, अन्य धर्मार्थ सेवाकार्य अम्मा यहाँ कर रही हैं। बहुत करुणा वाली हैं। बहुत सेवावाली हैं और मैंने यहाँ और एक बात देखी कि माँ बहुत करुणामय तो हैं ही, साथ ही माँ का आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान और व्यावहारिक ज्ञान भी बहुत उँचा है।
माताजी जोे जीती हैं, वो वेदान्त है।
‘‘माँ मुझसे बायोकेमिस्ट्री के बारे में बोल रही थी। विटामिन बी, विटामिन डी, कैंसर क्या है और उसका क्या उपचार क्या है, आदि। यह मेरे लिये बड़ा आश्चर्य था। पर्यावरण के बारे में मैंने माँ के विचार सुने। मैंने शास्त्र में पढा था भगवान के दो रूप है। एक मूर्त और दूसरा अमूर्त। मैंने सुना है, माँ ने वेदशास्त्र का अध्ययन गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा से नहीं किया है, लेकिन माताजी जोे जीती हैं, वो वेदान्त है। माता ने मुझे बताया कि यह सब विश्व भगवान की जीवंत अभिव्यक्ति है। सृष्टिकर्ता और सृष्टि अलग नहीं है। इसमें अभेद है। यही अद्वैत है। यही एकत्व है। यही अद्वैत तत्त्वज्ञान है। सृष्टि और सृष्टिकर्ता अलग नहीं है। और वैसा माता स्वयं जीती भी हैं। सारी सृष्टि भगवान का स्वरूप मानकर सेवा करती हैं तो मुझे लगा कि आत्मज्ञानी, आत्मवेत्ता ऋषि कैसे होते थे – तो माताजी जैसै होते थे।

Women in Bindhyagiri, Odisha have decided they want to learn to read and write.
Bindhyagiri is near our first village in Odisha—Guptapada. That was where our first big initiative in adult literacy took place. About 30 women there took up studies. It’s not an easy commitment to make, as most of them are labourers or work on the family farms. The rest of the day includes cooking, laundry, caring for children and other such household chores.
The women themselves are very happy, even anxious, to learn the alphabet of their native language, Odia. Writing their own names will be one of the first achievements. The main curriculum of classes for the three month period is reading, writing and numbers.
