After a real long day in the stall, I heard that Amma was singing bhajans and rushed to the stage where She was giving darshan. It was almost 4am in the morning and Amma had been on stage since 9:30 the previous morning.

I was just transfixed on Amma and Her singing. These are scenes which one has to see and experience, not any amount of words suffice in describing these moments. There you see Amma hugging people at the same time a brahmacharini holds the mike for Her and She sings and also with one hand makes a perfect rhythm for the crowds to clap.
The darshan goes on when the backup is being sung. No wonder the people coming for darshan are in bliss 🙂 .

Amma was singing “Banda krishna” a Kannada bhajan and at one point the crowd went out of sync with the beat while clapping and Amma was quick to catch it and She asked people to stop clapping and again set the rhythm by clapping Her hands. This is something that strikes us all, how is She able to manage so many things at the same time, thats simply b’cos She is Amma 🙂 and we are what we are 😉 .

In the meanwhile Amma wanted to talk to Her children in the U.S. ( in the california ashram – SanRamon). There was a webcam held near Her and a mike attached to it and Amma was singing for Her US children too 🙂 . All the while looking into the camera and blowing kisses and mind it the darshan here is still going. At one point of time Amma was even waving Her hands near the camera offering the people there in US a chance to virtually clap with Her hands. Thats a real Mother knowing the need of Her children. I am sure all those who watched the webcast from the other end would have enjoyed it to the core.

This reminds us that how Amma teaches us that the latest technical advancements can be used to share love across continents and bring people together. Where people use technical advancements for high tech warfare which results in destruction, here Amma is teaching us how to use the same for spreading love and uplifting mankind.

She is teaching us the real essence of “Vasudaiva Kudumbam” as in the Hindu scriptures, which sees the world as one single family. Let us all pray that we get Her message of love and spread it far and wide across the globe. May the divine fragnance of Amma’s Love spread throughout this world.

Jai Ma
