The Chicago Devi Bhava just ended. The stage downstairs was filled to capacity as everyone wanted to feel the contact with Amma again even though it’s just a few days when we saw her last. But then again, whoever gets tired of Amma?

It was especially lively tonight as there was a bunch of kids on the stage in front of the webcam and Amma spent quite bit of time talking with them. The expression on Amma’s face is so unique when she interacts with children that it really melts your heart.

There was again the usual ritual of “Makkale!” – “Amme!”, that seems to have become an essential part of this webcast.

Amma was wearing a burgundy red sari that just stirred something in me; some longing to be in the Divine Mother’s presence, bury my head in her bosom and forget everything else. As the external Mother is far away I guess I just have to look inside for that source and rest there. Until She comes…

Our brother who is by now (in)famous for his “Mata Rani Ki – Jai!” chant at the end of the Bhava went a bit wild tonight. Everyone laughed in the end when he started improvising other name of Devi also. The best one was last -Mookambike Ki – Jai!”.
