Room Darshans

The last public darshan was on Sunday and it lasted late into the night. Amma has now started receiving all the residents of the ashram for the yearly private darshan. A little private time she gives to each resident to discuss with her whatever is on their minds and instruct them in their sadhana and work. Hence Amma has not had the time to even come for bhajans. It is no small task for Amma to go through everybody here in Amritapuri especially nowadays when everything has grown so much and there are so many people. Amma sits from morning until late at night every day for at least a week. Endless compassion, there is never any rest for Amma. As she has said she did not come to this world to rest, but uplift humanity.

It is a nice and calm time in the ashram. Everybody is in a meditative mood waiting for or having received their time with Amma. The season is starting to come to an end. Amma will soon leave to Japan and the US, and the monsoon clouds will start forming on the horizon over the Arabian Sea.

  1. I am very thankful for all the accounts on life in Amritapuri and i enjoy reading them a great deal. It makes me feel a part of the Ashram family even when i am far away in the world and missing everything.
