Program in Kannur

Last night we arrived at the Talassery Amrita Vidyalayam which will be our accommodation for both the public and the Brahmasthanam programs.
I’ve always liked the northern parts of Kerala for retaining a great deal of tradition, Kannur especially, so the bus ride was an enjoyment rather than tiring. I especially like the traditional Keralan houses and architecture and wonder why people decided to abandon that type of dwellings for modern concrete boxes that are mostly so uninspiring. I guess the reasons are economic.

The program is being held at the Kannur stadium and the crowd is huge. It is difficult to estimate numbers but all i can say that looking down from the stage where i’m sitting it looks like an ocean of humanity. Amma started darshan sometime ago and looks very happy, most likely because so many of her children have showed up and will soon be in her loving arms. Anyone else would surely be completely shaken by such a sight, but for Amma it is one more chance to share joy and love and change many lives for the better. I’m guessing that the program might go until noon tomorrow.
Amma looks very radiant and beautiful.

    I want to repeat what others have said: Thank you for sharing about what’s happening there on the tours and at Amritapuri! It brings such solace to be able to partake a little in the life around Amma since I am not able to be there. I hope and pray that you all will continue this kindness

    27 days left for AMMA’s visit to Delhi. I am eagerly waiting for the moments to come till then I eagerly wait for the details of life around AMMA and read with eagerness but my thirst never diminshes. When will March 9 come

    while giving darshan, some people went for her darshan without leaving their footwear outside. Amma told, “This is not temple, do not worry my children. Pure mind is only needed for the darshan”.

    This time there was no warning from ammachi than previous amritavarsham at kannur. Last time amma told to stop the fight between the people here. Only after that, kannur is feeling some calm. This time ammachi told people should go ahead with love and unity between one another.

    Last time amma returned by 9:00 morning [2006], and day before yesterday, it ended up only by 11:00 hours morning. [More and more people coming to get her darshan..] counting…and counting….
