all are ammas children
23 feb, bharata yatra 2008, hyderabd to washim
the drive from hyderabad to washim is something like from hi-tech to pre-tech; from the head to the heart. on either side of the roads were full with the farms of grapes, oranges, sunflowers, barley and wheat.
as we entered maharashtra, one could feel the change of culture in the air. we stopped in a quarry for the bhajans and dinner. there were some workers in the quarry. amma called them and gave prasad. its amazing, the devotion of marathas. they have a place for mahatmas and sadhus in their heart.
there was no water for us to wash or cook. these workers helped us to fetch water from some 3 km away. we were served with hot curry and iddaly, bread and some mixture.
the site was just by the national highway. not much traffic was there. still a lot of onlookers joined the bhajans. they also were served with the food we had. they all sat together and ate the same food, there was no indifference, as if we knew all of them for long time.
all are amma’s children.
this is the 4th day i have not yet slept properly. even if you doze little bit on the drive, it’s not enough for the body. may be i will get some good sleep in washim. when will we reach there?

I love hearing about the crops on the road…it makes the story so vivid! It is amazing how many things can come together in Amma’s presence. I’m sure some good sleep will come too! I am so happy to read the lost posts! It is interesting because I’ve already seen the pictures posted from Washim and such… so even though the post is a month old it is so fresh and alive because I already have the pictures (in my mind) to go with the story. Yes all are Amma’s children…even the grapes, oranges, sunflowers, barley and wheat!
