amma to andaman

22 march, bharata yatra 2008
to see off amma to andaman islands, all of us were there at the airport: those who are going with amma and those returning to amritapuri. it looked like a white pond.

as amma walked into the airport she touched every one with a smile … i could not touch her. some one jumped in between. whether she saw me? i think so. as

she disappeared, a silent cry deep down in the heart, a drop of tear.

Thottu Thottilla, Kandu Kandilla (She touched me, she touched me not, she saw me, she saw me not!!!)…Swamiji, how much more should we cry, we who are so far away from the Mother?!!! 🙂 Am reminded of the line in the malayalam bhajan ‘Anutaapam Valarunnu’ which goes, “Neither are my merits strong, nor my character, O Shiva, hence totally depending on your grace to help me swim across this sea of sorrows!” In this case, the sea of spiritual sorrows of her children who can’t travel with Her or be in her Great, all-liberating company!
