Bhajans in Singapore

The new bhajans that were written and tuned just before the North Indian Tour have had a few months of practice behind them and have now become part of the bhajan set and Amma and the musicians familiar with their rhythms and melodies. Indeed, last night’s bhajan set consisted of many of these new bhajans
Mata Rani – though more than a year old, is still new to many people in Singapore. Amma sang it last night , and when She first called out ‘Mata Rani Ki……’, few hands went up in the air with the response ‘Jai!’ – those mostly of the tour staff and others who have been traveling with Amma. But as the bhajan progressed, some seemed to catch on – and by the end, many more had joined in. Perhaps Amma will further initiate Singapore and surprise everyone by singing it live one day during darshan…..

I have been hearing about this song for a year now…I even have a picture that someone sent me of her with her fingers pointed in the air while calling out in devotion, but I have no idea what it sounds like…You can’t imagine the curiosity in my heart to hear what Amma sounds like singing this and be a part of the love that is so apparent in the pictures.
And in two weeks I will finally be seeing Amma in the ashram…and I will finally know! I can’t wait!
