The Divine Elevator

Albuquerque – Monday, June 23rd , 2008

After the morning and evening programs, Amma stayed within the Marriott Pyramid North hotel. At the end of each program, Amma would walk out of the program hall towards the elevator and devotees would follow Her like bees after the Queen bee. Amma would then enter the elevator, which had a transparent glass wall on the side facing the lounge. The devotees in the lounge would watch Amma go up on the elevator to Her floor and Amma would look down and wave at the devotees. The glass elevator had decorative lights on it and watching Amma go up in it was a magical experience!

The new Malayalam Bhajan ‘Anandadhamamam Ninnilettanen’ has very profound lyrics. The first verse goes like “O Abode of bliss, I long eternally to reach you – why do you stand just out of reach, O essence of the supreme state?”
