Sanctifiying by touch, by hug
A family back home from Amritapuri found a child asking another about Amma. Okay tell me what is Amma doing?
The one who had just returned from Amritapuri said without a pause Amma is sanctifying everybody. Obviously the child had seen Amma giving darshan for long hours… Whenever he was not sleeping he had seen Amma giving darshan, sanctifiying humans by touch, by hug.
The father who overheard this reply was surprised. Well, its very true, Amma has been giving darshan for non stop 14 hours, 16 hours everyday! But how could my child articulate it so well. He told about this to his wife who was also initially surprised. But soon she remembered an incident where one lady from Punjab was narrating an incident from her experience.
My neice has not met Amma. She has heard much about Her, as I always tell Her about Amma’s love and leelas. Her child was unwell, and when I came to know of this I asked the little one, Shall I send you some Vibhuti that Amma has blessed. I have it with me. She said yes.
She applied it on her forehead and was overcome with love. She could connect to Amma quite easily, as She had known Amma as the embodiment of Love. Her illness took the back seat.
She called and asked me, Auntie, was this vibhuti touched by Amma?
I said yes and said that’s why its holy, its called sacred ash.
Then she asked me, tell me, have you met Amma.
I said oh yes, Amma has given me hugs, kisses and Prasad.
How many times? My answer prompted her to ask.
I had no count, so I said, many times.
She spoke after a time, then in that case how sanctified you are!
I am sanctified! This opened a world before me. Here I was giving ash touched and thus blessed by Amma to anyone who was suffering. Here I was seeing miracles unfolding before me in all the cases. Its only now that I realise that Amma has sanctified me also.
Every thing that Amma touches evokes in us such holy feel about them. We regard everything she touches as Prasad. When we want something to be blessed, we take it to her and get it touched by Her.
And so I realized I should go about serving all in need, as Amma’s instrument.

indeed, you are right. we are sanctified and just think how lucky too!
we came to amma (by her blessings and wish, of course !), and recieved her darshans and kisses while millions in this world haven’t,t ill now. just think how lucky we are. indeed we should be thankful for this blessing while enjoying this life, we should be thankful for each breath we are taking in!!!
Yes Amma sanctifies us! How cute to hear that from a child! It is all Mothers grace.

I have no words to say, oh my god ,the day i met first time, first hug in 1993, i was sanctified. From that day i’m drinking the nector. Amma is truth, which is beyond words, thoughts. Amma’s words are like arrows, which always hit the brain and heart.
very cute… i wish i could go to amritapuri soon… by Amma’s grace I will make it there
