Mother make me Lose to you,
For That would be my Victory,
What would be my Triumph
If I have not surrendered to you?
I still remember when I First met you,
Though you have known me since long,
How could I forget the twinkle In your eyes
When u held me close and said, “Mol Padikenam”
In the midst of darkness at night
All that gives strength is the faith of your presence
O Compassionate mother, Be with us
For we do not know what is right,
Fallen into deep crevices of despair
We cannot get up try as much as we might
We read you said darkness cannot remain for long
Dawn will surely break out and shine,
Amidst despair I Trust you
Our bundle of deeds, wrong and right ,we entrust you,
To forgive and shower your love
To look upon us as we look at you with anticipation
Like the Pied crested Cuckoo
Waiting months facing skywards for the first drop of rain
Pure and nectar-like untainted,
To quench its undying thirst
My amma joins me in my endeavour to write to you,
Write here our innermost desire for grace,
The Light which Guides us from darkness to light.
