The Enchantress
Oh! Kali, you are hiding in the greenness of trees ,
in the fragrance of flowers
merged in the brown earth holding your children close
I see you in the pure white falling snow,
in the new beginnings of the misty mornings..
you come around in the warm rays of the morning sun,
floating in the soothing mid-day breeze,
then rose into the expanse of blue sky
reminding us to follow you to freedom
I saw you in the setting sun..
Oh! Kali, filling all directions…
with your magic of twilight..
I saw you hiding in me
You enchantress..
You came out of the layers to peek at me..
To say “no” don’t , when I twist in pain..
Or did you take the tremor for
This child of yours , my mother..
Now I know your secret you Kali..
You can’t keep playing …
When your child is in pain
You Ocean of love…
Why don’t you come out and play with me sometimes
Till you teach me to climb up to your hiding place..
Then I promise I won’t cry anymore..
