Q133: Last Rainbow?

“When was the last time you saw a rainbow? Can you describe briefly…?

  1. The last time I saw rainbow was on 9th, 11th and 12th March 2008 these are the days when I got my Divine Mother’s darshan in New Delhi. My MAA is my rainbow because when I saw her I was as happy as a child who sees the rainbow for the first time and exclaims about its uniqueness. My DIVINE MAA is UNIQUE.

It was last April, I was driving from Lebanon to Syria in the early morning hours, and the weather was gloomy after a heavy night of rain, and suddenly an amazing shining light of rainbow appeared in front of me illuminating the sky while one of its ends sank in the beautiful Lebanese endless sea…
    Such a beautiful unforgettable moment…

  3. It is funny, but just today, at probably the same time the question was posted, I saw a beautiful rainbow-circle around the sun! It was actually the first time I saw a rainbow-circle like this. It was a very special moment, butterflies were in the air and from below, it looked like they were flying along the lines of this beautiful rainbow. What a wonderful moment!

  4. Amazing!! I saw the question in the morning, but was too busy to think, remember and answer it. Then around 1pm, I went out and someone pointed out to me an amazing sight: A rainbow forming a large circle around the Sun!! I had never seen this kind of rainbows before nor ever heard that they existed!!! This must be the same rainbow that Abhi saw, here above Amritapuri… A beautiful Amma gift!!

  5. While living the South side of Kauai in Kalaheo, rainbows would appear throughout the day as this side of the beautiful island rains every day.
    Almost every day while preparing dinner before sunset;a light rain would come and leave multiple rainbows.
    This was a breathtaking sight. I used to think that this part of the world was the heavenly vault for this worlds rainbows.

    Magically, on a night of full moon, I witnessed a “Moon Bow”.
    It was all grey coloured like the moon but in the same place and size as the regular phenominal rainbow.
    Thankyou my Blessed Guru, and Mother of the Universe.

  6. Early springtime in San Ramon – can’t remember a specific date, but there was a period of a few weeks where there were rainbows practically every other day!

  7. Last month Albert and Ebello (Both spanish) were were doing cleaning seva at Amritapuri. At the end of their work, they saw a very nice but small rainbow. Ebello was holding the hose of a water tab and Albert was cleaning a bucket that time water droplets were spraeding in the air and we could see a very beautiful small rainbow over there.

  8. The last time I saw a rainbow was a long, long time back. My mother was watering her plants in the evening, she called me and pointed at the sky. It was the most amazing rainbow, beautiful, just like both my mothers: mom and Amma. As rainbows have always fascinated me, I watched it for a long time, until it disappeared.

  9. Like the rainbow which is seen rarely, here it is difficult to meet Amma devotees and today I saw the rainbow. I mean A chance visit to my friend’s place led me to Amma devotees here in gurgaon ! Thank You Amma.

  10. What a coincidence, as we were returning from Amritapuri yesterday to our home town, while passing through hilly terrain, a heavy downpour followed by bright sunshine. Lo, there was a huge arch of rainbow,welcoming us to the city, a sight not to be missed.

  11. It was when I was travelling in train with my family from Delhi to Nagpur one year back. It was summer season and we were travelling in Non A/C compartment. I dont exactly remember the place but it was in Maharashtra. It had just rained a little bit and there was a beautiful rainbow with dark clouds as back ground. It was long time since I last saw a rainbow and I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was a big respite from heat for the body and treat for the soul!!!
    Also I have seen a photograph of Amritapuri Ashram with a big beautiful rainbow in the back ground.

  12. Another coincidence…….I just saw one yesterday! I was at home in the evening. The view outside by balcony had changed to a yellowish color when the sun had almost set and lo….i saw this beautiful rainbow. It was there for about 15 minutes.

  13. I saw it last month (July 2009).After the rain the rainwater fed river close to my house still had mist above it and there was Sun shining.So close and so beautiful it was (two rainbows) merely 30 feet away from me!!!

  14. late noon day before yesterday, we 3 were at home n having a serious disscussion on our present… we were not in sink with each other a all and I felt anxious… when suddenly sun rays beamed into the room, refelected on a CD and created a wonderful rainbow effect. It was as if amma was reassuring me…and now this question!!

  15. Recently i was teaching Science to Class X on How Rainbow is formed. I was myself amazed and very interested to know the facts of Science which i could now relate to God’s creation. After some days of teaching i saw a rainbow – now with a new outlook – with the facts based on the wonderment of spirituality.

  16. The last rainbow I noticed was on July 4th 09. I was serving a group of girls at the Hotel I work at. They are part of a humanitarian advocacy group. The girls are called RAINBOW GIRLS ! 🙂 When I noticed the Rainbow outside I went to get a few of them. How fitting it was… but, not only that, as we were watching the bright spectacle, 2 more rainbows formed in front of it. There were 3 rainbows and 3 rainbow girls watching the 3 rainbows at the hotel.
    It was SOOO COOL! 🙂 Thanks to Amma for opening our EYE! 🙂

  17. Nowadays i stay in a flat which is in 13th floor. So whenever i am free i watch the sky (Horizon). i am very much pleased to see the clouds which make me remember my beloved. But i didn’t see rainbows recently. So many years back i saw a rainbow. What to describe?. It was so beautiful like our most beloved Lord (Amma)

  19. I dont exactly remember when I last saw a rainbow but on this occasion I remember one of our dear Amma’s teachings. It says ‘If you stand together in oneness you can soar up and stretch across the sky like the Rainbow with all the seven colours standing side by side-The symbol of peace and beauty’

I was waiting to see a rainbow so that i could write something about it but what i saw was a photo of a beautiful rainbow when i was sitting in the AIMS canteen :)…that makes me realize one thing that i rarely get a chance to look up at the sky and enjoy the precious offerings of nature…Amma tells the story of a boy who collected coins whenever he went for a walk with his grand father and thereby missed the beautiful offerings of nature…

  21. The last rainbow I saw was a few months ago but I can’t remember where, except against a cloudy sky. I do remember a lot of rainbow flags that hung all over Castro, San Francisco’s gay district. It reminded me of Amma saying, there are all kinds of people and we need to love all.

  22. April 2, 2009 when my daughter and I scattered my husband (father’s) ashes at Niagara Falls…it was like Amma telling us that he is at a better place and happy now. Thank you Amma

  24. Five days ago, on Aug. 27, I saw that rainbow. I was traveling by car with my dear friend, we made that three-day-trip. I repeatedly said what an incredible tour guide Amma is.
    When he received a call on his cell phone, we stopped. It had just rained, just a few drops. I left the car and looked back the road. There was this great rainbow, somehow two in one, several colors double. I thanked Amma – she had provided another little miracle on this tour.
