Amma s Hug

Amma’s hug makes my mind
Full of thoughts that makes me kind

Amma’s hug sweeps all my bad thoughts
And welcome in all good thoughts

Ammas hug has got a power
That makes my sadness vanish into powder

Amma’s hug makes me fall in love with her
And she is known as Universal Mother

Speaking of Amma’s hug, reminds me..This was the first time that I had seen Amma when she had come to Bangalore a few years ago. Me and my girlfriend had just decided to split because of the typical social stigma against love marriages from different casts but had decided to visit her together.
We just could not get the darshan till the last moment when even the volunteers had finished darshan but somehow, we managed to get very close to Amma. Suddenly Amma called us both (there were so many people around, I still don’t know how she could make out that we were together, but then she’s Amma!!) and held us together, each in one arm and put a orange toffee in our mouth. Guess that was the signal that we were meant to be together. Years later now, we are married; we have a daughter almost 3 years now…we’ve named her Amrita Nidhi. She’ll join Amma’s school this coming year.
    Thank you Amma!

Your story is really wonderful. Thanks for it… and of course never ending thanks to Amma’s grace. May your new family be happy, but I am sure you will…

It is so true… Amma MAKES you fall in love with Her.Try thinking why… It’s hard to find a “reason”. I guess that’s true love 🙂
