Question 160:
“ How has our website been helping you connect with Amma and imbibe her teachings? “
(On the occasion of amritapuri.org 10th Anniversary: 15 April 2000 – 15 April 2010)
Please make your answer clear and brief (maximum 5 or 6 lines).
This website has been such a blessing in my life…I can keep hitting Motherpage for 15 minutes straight for Amma quotes in the top right hand corner hahaha. I have copied and pasted several of these quotes onto my facebook page to share with others and they in turn are sharing with others and it makes a big difference in the world I think to have all these Butterfly wings flapping around…The blogs from such beautiful brothers and sisters are so inspiring as well…its all Amma all the time and thats how I like my internets!!! Thank you so much for the site…I know my life would feel emptier without it. Jai Ma!!!

Here Amma is the SUN, her children are the sunflowers and this website is one of the forms of her rays to make her children bloom in to beautiful flowers.
I find this website the best way to connect with Amma and her teachings. Whenever I get time I read Ashram diary and it gives me a lot of happiness and a feeling of fullness. Sometimes I miss the chance to go through the site. At that I time I have a feeling that I didn’t get my regular dose of satsang. A very very valuable site for AMMA’s dear children.

Also Amma chimes helps the whole family to follow Amma wherever she’s in the globe. Thanks for that too.
I think a suggestion box will help, knowing about ideas from devotees around the world and ask them what they want from this web team. Something like newsletters etc. will be a fine job, i guess. A quote of Amma per day in everyone’s inbox will be a fine way to start one’s day.

This site has been the closest thing to Amma that I can turn to. The quotes are amazingly to appropriate for the time and thought in my mind, and I too love clicking and clicking to see what Amma says next. It is like having a conversation. For someone who can’t chat with Amma this is the closest I can get. Sometimes I can send a message through the letter box. Then all the news and comments are always enlightening and sometimes entertaining. It helps us plan our visits to Amritapuri or know where Amma will be next. The ashram pix and Amma pix also help us keep our minds on Amma. I have also started sharing material from here via other interfaces on the web. Not surprisingly, this is my favourite site to turn to – anytime.
This webpage and its e-services option has been a great solace to me in distress. There were times when i would keep sending my prayers to Amma. Initially, we had to type in our email ids, so with each sending of a prayer, there was a hope associated with it, for a reply email(childish i admit).Now it’s is just sending it to Amma, as though sending a message with the wind, and happily waiting for moments and events that contain Her message. The thought for the moment is also another way for me to ask Amma something and get answers, sometimes :). Some stories have also been very touching. Another important part is this forum where i can read the replies of so many spiritual people, which makes me more humble.
I like this website very much.We get so many photos of Amma,so many poems,stories to read and the most loveable Amma chimes through which we can know Amma is giving darshan,singing bhajans and so many things.It has so much of importance.And the website work for whole 24hrs..So many people must be helping in the various task related to it.I salute to their selfless service.And thanks so much to these hardworking minds and heart.

As I write this from my mobile phone (Pda), I cannot but appreciate
the value this website provides to people like me. So far off from
Amritapuri and yet this website brings a closeness. The photos
of Amma that change twice every 24 hours on the main page seems
to convey a message. The quotes guide me while I am frustrated at work.
Need I say anything more about the rest of the website.
It is very compassionate of Amma and the ashram children to maintain this website as close as possible to Amma and happenings around Her.
I love the inspiring articles that devotees share on the ashram diary.
Many times if I am not able to check this site, I am reassured that I can come back to it whenever possible. Anytime I feel I need Amma’s message I look at Amma’s Thought of the minute and take solace in it.
One thing I would also love to see if possible is the whole text of Amma’s talks whichever is available in the archive section.
This website had been a blessing. It was something to look forward to when I had to work at 7:45am and had no internet at home. I love the chimes and knowing what Mother is up to & where she is. I especially enjoy hearing which bhajans have been sung. Having just 30 second samples of bhajans on the site would be wonderful. This site is my home page. I love to see what is new everyday. I look forward to viewing pictures and videos of the programs. Thank you so much for this precious gift.

I have found many answers from Amma thro’ this wonderful website. Once Amma asked me to stay till next morning to get Amma’s mantra. I was in dilemma whether to stay whole night at the Math. I came home and prayed to Amma and lo ! the thought of the moment was “Hold on strongly to the Guru’s feet without caring about anything else”. So I got my answer and I stayed whole night at the Math and in the morning got my mantra from Amma !! So Amma answeres thro’ this website too.

By the grace of AMMA from the very first launching until today this “Amrita Sethu” helped me reach AMMA though 1000 miles away physically from our Beloved AMMA. AMMA is everything to me and “amritapuri.org” fullfils most of the quench to know more and more about AMMA. This website is a blessing in disguise. All the information is available at the click of a button: Amma’s tour schedules, blogs and experiences of devotees. For those of us unable to meet Amma regularly its sheer pleasure to see photographs from her various tours.I especially love the thought of the moment.

The website is such a consolation for those who cannot be near Amma physically. It is updated very regularly and promptly, which is great.

These quotes appearing on top right corner are best part of the site. I keep this page open at my work and keep flipping onto it. These quotes are so apt for the moment as if Amma herself is telling me! that keeps me charged up!
Without the website..i do not know what i have done with my life. It is part and parcel of my daily routine. Amma is within us and outside us. To attain God, a seeker should do lots of sadhana. But the Truth is too near to us, it’s in the cave of the heart. This is the status of this web site. Though our most beloved Lord is so far (physically) from us, with just clik our beloved Amma is in front of us. This site is a great boon to me and whenever i open this page i get new messages from my Lord through words and photographs. I don’t need to read all the articles, from the Motherpage, i can understand what is her message for me at that moment. But of course i read almost everything in the page. And we can also send our thoughts and feelings to our most beloved Amma. Really this a great endeavaour and iam so much greatful for the ones in charge.

i was only heard of amma n viewed only the amritavarsham,ammayodoppam etc.. i was eager to know more about amma.. i think nowadays whenever i log into internet connection i visit amritapuri.org… the one n only website which feels homely….
