AYUDH Kenya hosts waffle bake sale
AYUDH Kenya, inspired by the Belgium youth, had the idea to start a waffle bake-sale on 24th December at the Westgate Mall, Nairobi. The main aim was to raise money for the Amma’s charitable projects.
We were very lucky to have pulled the whole event off in two weeks. Arranging for a space at the mall during Christmas time.
Although, this was a cost-effective project, renting out a space at the mall, buying all the ingredients and cutlery, fortunately, we managed to raise some money to get things started before-hand, luckily.
We began the sale at 8:00am which ran a little slow at first. However, before the event, to make things a whole lot easier, we made all the waffle mixture at home and then set all of our equipment to bake at our stall. We all worked really hard with much desire and enthusiasm, to try and get passer bys to come taste our freshly made hot waffles. We also sold cookies and Indian delights. By mid-day we got really busy and people around were thrilled at what we were doing and why we were doing it. People gave extra donations willingly. Many were interested to learn about Ayudh and the projects we’ve carried out as they looked at our posters.
The event turned out to be un-believably fun!! Everyone worked really hard. It being the first fund-raiser we’ve had, with all of support, we managed to raise a lot of money. We feel a lot more inspired to keep carrying on.

Good work done by the AYUDH Kenya, inspirational for other AYUDH groups elsewhere. Organized solely by the wholehearted participation of all members. All the best for future projects like these.
