  1. The devotee’s call is just echoed! So the response depends on the devotee whether it is intense, feeble, faithful etc.

  2. Mother is always with us. No need to call Her loudly, just a whisper, a flicker of the eyelash is sufficient. Her answers are in manifold forms, sometimes obvious and unquestionable, other times, not so much so. A little confusing may I say, but She is always there. Jai Ma love love and thanksxxxxxxxxxx

  3. ….OUR TRUE NATURE IS DIVINE…THE ETERNAL SELF….IF BY AMMA’S GRACE WE EXPERIENCE SUCH AN UNDERSTANDING….OUR CALLS BECOME AN ECHO OF HER WILL….IN TOTAL SURRENDER….

  4. om amriteswaryai Namaha. My humble pranams at the lotus feet of Amma.
Devotee calls god – means devotees can call god the way they like . They can call him like they call their “mother” or “father” or “friend” or “beloved” or “Lord”.The response of the god will be according to that.

  5. God’s compassion has no limits. God’s Grace can change anything and everything. But God is also a witness who respects each person’s freewill and openness. He will act only if we invite him. His response depends on the sincerity and purity of our call. This is how I understand Amma’s words…

  6. ‘It’s that..”i should be intensily focused on Him”. Recurring callings..with patience..i should pray him to give me discriminative faith.so that i can be Intensily focused on him. Efforts alone won’t help.Grace is needed.Grace of overself as well as of Amma.

  7. To appear before God, to attain the beloved, are purely symbolic terms and not to be taken literally. There is no God sitting somewhere on high before whom you appear. But to speak of it, how else can it be expressed? When the ego is eradicated, when you disappear, whatever is before your eyes, is God himself. God is not a person — God is an energy beyond form.

To stand before this formless energy means to see Him wherever you look, whatever you see. When the eyes open, everything is He. It only requires that you should cease to be and that your eyes be opened. Ego is like the mote in your eye; the minute it is removed, God stands revealed before you. And no sooner does God manifest, than you also become God, because there is nothing besides Him.

  8. in my opinion (therefore im not sure if its right) begging or pleading/complaining type prayers to God need to be avoided – they imply lack – god hears your energy. Best to focus on a better energy than beg or plead prayers. Mantra and selfless service help raise your vibration closer to god to be more like god

  9. Its very difficult to explain. Its my experience when I want that GOD has to hear I do not know what happens my heart cries, my eyes cries and at that time I feel I am just making a frantic call to my GOD to hear me and nothing else is in my mind, I do not remember what I am doing and at that time I have only one thing in my mind that he has to listen to me I do get a answer back.

  10. Who calls and who responds. Who speaks and who listens. I guess prayer is a method of gaining focus or concentration on God. In starts with words, then proceeds to a deeper level of feelings and emotions, then starts to flower fully into an ever deepening silence and ever greater feeling of unity…
Perhaps, even the nature of the call is dependent on Gods wish. What makes some long for Unity more than others. What makes some pray more intensely than others? What makes other delve deeper within and others perhaps not so deep? Such a mystery. Is it not God calling God, God calling us with his words…
… And as the incomprehensibly prefect process of the entire enfoldment of the universe reaches its ultimate expression, we suddenly, quite naturally, glide into our swaroopa (natural abidance in out true nature)…

  11. Call and pray with an honest and pure heart and God will always be responding to such genuine prayers…
but call God with a weak faith, and you might never be able to hear the answer…

  12. Devotee may not get the desired all the times, but surely what he deserves 🙂

  13. “ye yedha mam prapadyante tamstadhaiva bhajammyaham”
(Bha.Geeta.4.11) This is an important declaration of Bhagavan in Geeta. saying to Arjuna that the response wil be according to, the way of approach , and the attitude and the eligibility (devotional) of the devotee.
Again “kamatdvedhad bhayad snehad yedha bhkthyeshware manha:aaveshya tadakham hitva bhahavastat gatim gataha:(Sreemad Bhagvatam 7.1.29. With all of these emotional feelings of Kamam, Bhayam, Dvesham, sneham, sumbhandam (relational attachment), and Bhakthi, you can attain God (get response from God), if you focus all these feelings at the Lotus feet of God….

  14. Even as an infant whose only dependence is his/her mother, so also God to a devotee, the only unconditional Saviour.

Call Her or Him by name AMMA, ALLAH, JESUS, RAMA, Krishna, S-He is at once with us to caress and infill with Ananda.

  15. Well let me find an answer to this question…

Ok on June 15th my Post Graduation Entrance exam results are coming,so my prayer to god is “Please GOD give me a seat” well I guess this prayer is sincere and well it was loud and clear and I hope GOD has heard my prayer and now the only way to find out is to just wait and see what happens on June 15th.

About my preparation.. I am an average student with an average CGPA(7.5), an average student will not get through this test as this test is conducted by India’s 2nd best University for Computer Science masters.. So that makes this a perfect test case. Exam is on June 12th and am preparing for it.So lets wait and see how GOD will approach this situation.

  16. “Do not ask for anything and all will be given to you” ~ AMMA

I understand the question in one word… SURRENDER

Let go of expectations and trust that your prayers will be answered in the right way at the right time.

  17. In its true sense, I think it means you surrender everything in your heart of hearts. This means you think a thought which is a desire to accomplish something. You do not dwell on it anymore. You work towards it without any anxiety of getting it/success or losing it/failure. As you work on your desire without any fear or anxiety, you can work with concentration, the object of your desire will reveal its many secrets and then it just happens – the response. You can gain concentration by Mantra japa or meditation
