Amma’s Swiss program started off well. She arrived directly after Milan and reached 4 hours after Devi Bhava. Some devotees had gathered outside the hall and were waiting to garland Amma.

The Swiss program had started. Even being a working day, the crowds were quite big. Some faces that were familiar to me, sat sometime next to Amma, talking to her even after their Darshan.

Evening was setting a mellow scene. Swamis started singing and a devotional throng sent a mystical tune to the happenings. One old devotee had come to Amma to ask a question. He had a sling supporting his right hand. Amma asked him what had happened. The person was moving past late sixties. He told Amma that he had helped unload some load during the tour and had a shoulder slip. Amma smiled lovingly at him and said “you will have to remember your age !” Amma then continued “when God asks you what did you give, you can show your right hand!” The devotee was beyond smiles. He had actually come to tell Amma something more serious but Amma had made it so light for him to converse with her.

Later on, an old lady in her crutches had come and given her question to Swamiji for translating to Amma. It had taken a small drama before she gathered Amma’s attention. Amma then said “same question 25 years” meaning the lady was an old-timer and that she had same questions for many years. The lady then replied saying it were new questions. Amma immediately asked them to be read to her. Amma heard her questions that were a page long and then beautifully replied to her. The lady wanted more but Darshan queue had finished and it was past midnight. Swamiji’s arati gave a closing charm to the wonderful day with Amma.
