Geetha Jayanthi day

Om Om Om
When the days are darkened with the lusty thoughts of the mind,
All the pomp of worldly shows, even the Sunlight looks so insipid,

Lo! shattered by endless desires, with vices of envy, anger and greed,
Worldly pleasures turn life fatal, they are no doubt dangerous indeed.

Om Om Om
When the days are darkened with the lusty thoughts of the mind,
All the pomp of worldly shows, even the Sunlight looks so insipid,

Wandered alone for Truth and Love, searching for the Effulgent God,
Whose eminence and glory, all the sages ever sing as the one Goal End.

Om Om Om
When the days are darkened with the lusty thoughts of the mind,
All the pomp of worldly shows, even the Sunlight looks so insipid,

The Song Divine gives solace, shedding pure spiritual light around,
Bhagavath Geetha of Sri Vyasa, with nectarous verses he compiled.

Om Om Om
Ah! the Mother Geetha, the Essence of all scriptures, as was revealed
By Lord Krishna to Arjuna in the midst of sever crises of battlefield,

Shedding the fear, goading one to purify the mind, working for God,
Now, we find at AMMA’s Lotus Feet, Guru, God, and all we need.

May we embellish our lives with the wisdom of Bhagavath Geetha,
Wishing all AMMA’s children a very happy Geetha Jayanthi day (23/12/2012),
the day during which Bhagavath Geetha was discoursed by Lord Krishna to Arjuna.
