A big dream in small eyes
As part of Vidyamritam, many events and competitions were conducted under various categories, such as elocution, essay writing, painting, story- telling, etc., so as to bring out the latent talents, within the young minds. The semi-finals of elocution event took place today (25’th Sept.) at 10 AM. A total of 80 children participated, out of which, 8 children were selected for the finals, which is to be held tomorrow (26’th September) on the main stage.
During the event, I had an opportunity to witness the performance of a young girl, which touched me. The way in which she delivered her content, was awesome, and amazing, which clearly indicated her level of self-confidence. Her appearances showed that, she was from a middle-class family. She concluded the talk with a word of patriotism-‘Jai Hind’. It was indeed overwhelming to see countless number of children, from rural parts of Kerala and other states of India, full of joy and dreams in their little eyes. Though most of them were visiting Amritapuri, for the first time, it was pleasing to know that these children were inspired by the infrastructure of Amma`s Educational Institutions and Her blessed students.
The joy and love that this mega event is dissipating fills me with awe, and makes me realize that Amma`s dream getting closer to reality.
