festive mangalore

we reached mangalore. i know there is a lot missing in between. i have nice stories to tell you. what to do? the dust and the cold disturbing me. but still i try to cover the events. if i wait, then you will miss the celebration of tomorrow. so here it is .. a curtain raiser for mangalore.
you cannot pass through any mangalore city road without noticing amma’s big posters welcoming all to come to the brahmasthana pratishta.
amma is staying in the school. brahmasthanam is in the same coplex. the mangalore brahmasthanam temple is bigger than any other in size. the pandal is huge. the kitchen and annakhetra is the size of amma’s usual program hall. there is a backwaters near by. there is a beautiful well in the temple complex.
the murthi is ‘resting’ after the ‘bimba shodana’ ceremony. several pujas are going on as the preparation of the installation.
the kalasha sthapana is at 11.45 a.m and prana pratishta is at 1.45 p.m tomorrow.
the last brahmasthanam consecration was at trissur in 2005.
people are pouring in from all parts of karnataka and other states. during darshan amma picks up the microphone and asks the volunteers to look into the accommodation of the people from other states.
certainly there is a festive mood everywhere. all are waiting for the moment of consecration.
Thank you so much for your correspondence to those of Amma’s children who are on the other side of the world. your descriptions are so great, and the ways you talk about Amma are so wonderful that i feel close and right with you even though i am not.

Thank you Swamiji for your postings. Through your postings, I feel I am also there with Ammas Yatra. My husband is there for witnessing the consecration festival at Mangalore. After his coming I will get a small portion, but swamiji I am waiting for your descriptions.
It is very much helpful for us, who are physically away from AMMA and all of you, to know about the happenings around AMMA ,especially this important and auspicious moments in Mangalore. We are waiting to read (rather witnessing through the beautiful description on this page) more about the Kalasa Stapana and Prana prathishta of AMMAs 19th Brahmastanam.
I should thank you for taking pains to let know all the devotees of amma to know whats is happeneing around her.Im really missing the prathista function.but your description is just fullfilling.But still hope could be there! JAI KALIMA!!!
