This evening we watched the ending of the Devi-bhava in Michigan. It was Amma’s final program for this tour. She was wearing a blue sari.
At the end Amma was again in a very playful mood while connecting with her children here in Amritapuri. First there was the by now traditional shouting competition. It was quite a show I must say and even Amma seemed to be very amused by the antics of Ashram children as they vied with each other for Her attention. Then it was Amma’s turn to tease us by waving some food in front of the camera. One Brahmachari was making loud gulping noises as She did that and it made Amma laugh a lot. Amma was saying that there is ice and snow there in Michigan, which is fairly difficult to imagine here in the tropics.
Then it was already time for the flying kisses. Amma had such a look of love on Her face as She waved at us and threw one kiss after the other that one’s heart couldn’t help but melt. At the end She leaned towards the camera and gave one massive kiss that engulfed the whole picture and hopefully all of us too.
Soon She will be home.

  1. it wasn’t blue in person – it was violet purple, totally covered with gold embroidery. it was stunning. 🙂

  2. Blue, purple, it doesn’t matter.
