  • Krishna’s cows in Amritapuri!

    A bright morning here in Amritapuri:  the new miniature indigenous cows that the ashram got recently from the Kerala Agriculture University were moved to their new separate cowshed close to Amma’s room… Very cute animals, especially their rabbit-style ears continuously moving to capture the various sounds around them! They are from two endangered breeds of cows that once were a common household milk producing animal in Kerala and other parts of India: The Vechoor Cow (vechur cow)and the Kasargod Dwarf.   • amma, i want to see my krishna!

    28 April 2010 – Kochi amma sometimes would visit a devotee’s place. at the house, she would first perform a puja and then would gather to talk with the family members. likewise during one visit in kochi, after the puja, amma was meeting with the family privately in a room. after few minutes, the little girl of the house whispered secretly in amma’s ears. amma started laughing and then explained what the little girl had just told her.
