Sita Show

The flow of people coming to the ashram seems to be endless at the moment. Working in the International Office has taken up most of my time lately, so there hasn’t been time to write blogs that much. The bhajans with Amma are like an Oasis amidst the hectic schedule.
Today there was quite some entertainment as a little girl called Sita was up on stage performing all kinds of antics. She was quite a mischievous little package. When bhajans started she would stand between Ramakrishna Swamiji and Amma – one moment she would steal Amma’s hand cymbals and the next she would stroke Swami’s long hair or keep nudging him on the shoulder while he was playing the harmonium. At one point she ran of with Amma’s cymbals and Amma had to call “Sita, Sita!” to get her to come back with the stolen goods. Amma then lifted little Sita on to the Peetham to keep her calm but soon she was up on her feet again pulling down the microphone in front of Amma. At that point Sita’s mother came to pick her up and took her down. It was a real Sita Show tonight.
The bhajans were bliss. Amma sang the following:

Narayana Hari
Samsara Dukha Samanam
Brahmanda Pakshikal
He Kripamayi Ambe
Tatanavitunnu Nyangal
Om Namah Shivaya
Om Hari Om Hari
Ambe Jagadambe
