Yesterday, my family and I went onto the stage where Amma was hugging the thousands of people who had come to see her.  Our 2-1/2 year old son Ravi occasionally pointed to Amma and exclaimed, ‘Amma!’   When we changed our position on the stage, Ravi also saw a big photo of Amma and also exclaimed ‘Amma!’.  And again while looking at Amma, ‘Amma!’

This went on for a while, until he looked around at all the people on the stage.  And with a sweeping motion of his arm as if to include everyone, cried out ‘Amma!’.

It’s so nice when the young children still haven’t forgotten the things that we are now trying to remember.

  1. This is a lesson that we should not treat ourselves as grownup but we should feel like a child everyready to learn new things. We should have simplicity, curiousness of a child then only we will also be able to keep remembering all the time as if we have learned a new lesson.

  2. Just curious Abhay – did Amma name him Ravi?
