Om Amriteswaryai Namaha

This year’s US programme came to an end with a three days retreat at Boston. People who participated in the retreat could attend the Gurupurnima celebration also.

Amma talked about the importance of the Gurupoornima day. After the pada pooja, Amma sang Bhajan and gave darsan to everyone.

During the celebrations, Amma mentioned that She is not interested in such celebrations and what is more important is a surrendering attitude and practicing what we have learned from the Guru.

That night we could see the full moon and planet Jupiter together in the sky as if the Guru’s presence illumines the disciple’s hearts and radiating the bliss of Supreme knowledge.

Devibhava ended the next day at 11 o’clock.
We reached here in Canada yesterday night.

Every place, after the Devi Bhava Amma travelled by road to reach the next place. Thus, the American tour almost became like our Indian tours. Hundreds of people were traveling along with Amma. Two buses and several vans and other vehicles were following Amma’s camper. Camper is a large motor vehicle with facilities for sleeping and cooking.

After 12 hours journey at Saturday night 10.30 Amma inaugurated our new Ashram in Canada. It is a beautiful place of 20 acres land with several buildings,  trees and cultivation lands. For the devotees it was a fulfillment of their dream.

Today there is a public programme and also there will be a three days retreat here. Now Amma is giving darsan.  She is surrounded by the  journalists and TV people.

There is no time for Amma to rest. But Amma is always energetic and fresh because She is doing everything with lots of love. The only expression that we can see on Her face is motherly compassion.

Her life is a testament to the truth that serving humanity is the real worship of God.

Praying for all of you,
With lots of love,
Swami Purnamritananda.

  1. Indeed, did we, attending the Boston retreat observe the Full Moon in close proximity to the planet Jupiter- in it’s Swakshetra (Sagittarius/Dhanu). It was indeed, a heavenly confirmation of a most auspicious day. May the whole world be content and at peace.
