Older Bhajans

13 may 2009

For the past week Amma has been receiving the ashram residents in her room for a yearly private darshan where they can ask her question related to their spiritual life or whatever might weigh on their mind. This is no small task and means that Amma will sit from morning until early morning busy with the concerns of her ashram children.
Despite this schedule Amma found time to come for bhajans tonight. She came up on stage radiating with a beaming smile and sang some older songs. Very inspiring and sweet.

The songs she sang were:

  • Nanda Nandana
  • Karunatan Katamizhi
  • Katinnu Katayi
  • Adi Parashakti
  • Radha Ramana
  • Om Namah Shivaya
  • Alarnda Chutavizhi
  • Ma Jay Jagadambe Ma

  1. so sweet…thank you very much 🙂 bhajans are a time to connect with Amma and have her Grace flow to you. These bhajans I bet were all specacular!

  2. 😀
all time favourites!!!! love u amma….

  3. The bhajans were touching as you truly said.
After first bhajan started i was very sad not to see swamiji also singing with Amma.
I closed my eyes for the first bhajan to enjoy Amma’s enchanting sound, and when i opened them again.
    PRESTO! swamji present!
As you said, nobody expected Amma to come for bhajan during this tight scheduled, and messages where flying around to all informing,
‘Amma is here for bhajans,Come fast !’ as soon as she was seen in the steps from her room. 🙂

  4. God.. how lucky you are to be able to witness all this… how is wish i cud hear Amma sing to me right now ..:(
Thank you though for sharing the songs with us..
    Amme Sharanam!
