The color red symbolises Love for me: everything that love encapsulates, red roses and red hearts.I don’t associate red with anything but Valentine’s Day. Sometimes, very rare that is, when I think of the color red, I associate it with Goddess Kali’s flaming Red Sari.
To me, Red color symbolizes Amma in Devi Bhava ,wearing a Red Saree !!!
It reminds me so much of those good old days when amma used to give Devi bhava darshan in India !!!
Red color is the color of energy,Sakthi.and associated
with love ,beauty as well.In india red is auspicious.Amma saranam
Awareness, Spirituality, Goddess Durga Ma (My divine AMMA)
Red colour is Kali Ma’s clothes. And also her hibiscus. It is a happy auspicious colour of weddings, kum kum and temples. Blood – which some speak of as in the same vein as the soul. Ex:”We are all the same. If you cut me there is blood and if you cut her there is the same blood!” But flowing blood/red always is frightening. Not to Ma Kali.
Red is the colour of Kali. I see Red colour with “bhakthi”.When I see plain Red clothes it takes me to the “Kavu” in my native place in Kerala where Devi is the “Prathista” on top of the hill with picturistique sorroundings. While writing this I see on the right of my screen under AMMA Chimes: “Amma is in the Kali Temple”!!!
JAI MAA!!
The color red symbolises energy and auspiciousness for me. Kumkum is red in color, red rose is so beautiful. The sun at dawn is red. Red is so bright a color that it attracts attention immediately. I love Amma in dark red sarees as Amma looks so stunningly beautiful like Devi Incarnate in that.
for me Red color symbolizes a political party in India. Unfortunately it just reminds me of another degraded political party as many other such parties in India which only think about the parties/party leaders, material gains rather than thinking or acting for the countries benefits or the good of the people of India.
its unfortunate that the red color doesn’t remind me of the Divine mother’s bindi on her beautiful forehead.
Samanatwam – Equanimity: The blood of all humans, animals and birds is red.
Thyamgam – Sacrifice: Offering oneself to the service of others.
Prajnanam – The Brilliance Fire of Knowledge: The color of fire is also red.
Mangalam or Sri – Auspiciousness: Kumkum, or Bindu used in Sri Vidya or Sri Lalitha Puja
To me red takes me to different thoughts depending on where i see it… e.g. if its blood, i sense danger. If its a rose then thats the most beautiful colour and if its the kumkum on our Amma’s forehead it symbolises sunrise which ofcourse gives a hope that A New Day Has Come!!!
Auspiciousness – Red birds, Red Doors, etc.,
Blood – Life in our veins, sacrifice, giving
Boldness
Attraction, Confidence
Red has so many meanings for me: energy, fire, danger, activity, blood, root chakra, and intense love…
Its a strong “hot” color, in all means.
flaming/burning/bleeding Love, passions, anger, energy, things that are compelling and stand out and the color of youth – raw, inexperienced, impulsive, energetic. Devi is the “Red One” as said in the lalitha sahasranama “Sindooraruna vigraham…” for she appeared red hued to those who were fortunate enough to see her. Jai Ma!
Fiery Beautiful effulgent Amma Kali and Her Lotus Feet worshipped with flaming red chembarethi flowers ..Mother to millions sitting regal in a red saree with red vermillion embracing millions of suffering children people effortlessly wiping tears and crushing egos in Her river of unconditional Divine Love… my Mother AMMA.
Red to me is the Vermillon of Devi Mookambika, the auspicious mark on a bride’s forehead, the crimson glow of the setting sun…Red reminds me of the energy and vibrancy in Tantric patterns..
Redness of Amma’s saree during Devi bhava, the kumkum on her forehead……
Life, action, courage and vitality. It brings the thoughts of Mother Kali and the urgency to surrender to Her Will.
It reminds me of the heartbeat of existence. Radiant, beautiful, powerful. FULLY ALIVE!
For me red is just another color. The color Red which also is color of the Blood symbolizes that all Living beings are united in physical form. Another thing which comes to mind is the Stop signal that we see on the road. This also indicates that people should abide by the Rules.
I was thinking what it really means to me….now I got the answer: it symbolizes auspiciousness…ie The Devine Mother our Amma…I have seen the deities covered with red silk, it reminds me of kumkum …Amma Kaali!
For some reason I equated red with violence until I met Amma. Once I came to know that Devi’s favorite color was Red and its good attributes such as burning tamas (insolence), the color of action etc, I started liking it.
When I think of red I think of Amma in Devi Bhava, I think of the Kali murti in the Amritapuri temple, I think of fire, I think of blood, I think of tulips.
Red brings to mind strong and deep emotions. Deep love, anger, Kali’s dancing form with Her toungue out, force in action etc.
My Dearest Kaali maa
Red colour symbolizes anger and heat.A coal when heated turns red.Similarly, red colour is used to trigger bull’s anger. If related with any of our Gods, it would definitely be Kali, the destroyer of evil.
Red is a very vibrant color that is filled with energy and Kali. I also think of the color of blood, but also festive weddings. It’s a very strong color that symbolizes deep and strong feelings.
Red color represents Rajoguna in the Gunatreyam. It is in the nature of creativity and action. Red flowers and cloths are generally offered to Goddess Durga. It is the color of fire which is a bright element of the five elements and the nature of fire is to rise above and accept everything; as it is irrespective of the cast, creed, color, age, religion etc. and the ability to burn them into ashes, like the guru does with our egos…
Red colour symbolises the Kali rupa(the destroyer of evil) in the main hall in Vallikavu. This vibrant colour indicates the anger, danger etc…And amma in the beautiful red saree looks awesome…..
Red symbolizes anger. A bull gets easily irritated by red colour. Deep flames are also red in colour. A setting sun sets with red colour. Also these days, red colour is used for stop signal.
RED colour symbolizes Love for me.. Rose is red and similarly whatever Red is Love…
