  2. I have two gifts that I’ve dedicated to Mother.
    As a magician struggling financially, 16 days ago I pledged to give Amma at least 5 hours a day working steadfast in my office. I’ve made it every day giving over 5 hrs (one day was 4.5).
    Also I had a difficult relapse with food addiction. I pledged to give Amma 90 days squeaky clean abstinence. Today is day 34. (Juicing now satiates me, fills me with nutrients and I’ve lost the weight I’d put on.)
    Oh Mother, I hope this means something to you. Happy Birthday, your beloved daughter, Heather.

    Amma does not care about birthdays, She accepts this to happen just to make us happy…
    The best present we can give her is the ability to carry on Her Mission without interfering by our petty demands of attention..

  14. I would like to give my everything to Amma, but i can never bring myself to do it. Each incident takes me to the threshold of commitment and then i back out. A long trail of broken promises and failures haunt me. I am afraid of commitment. I am afraid of failure.
    On this occasion of Her birthday, all that is left with me to offer to Amma is a prayer, that i may overcome my shortcomings and be Hers.

    so that i may be free to live life in full awakening and be truly useful to myself and others

  17. morning time, She enjoys my “trimadhuram” (a pudding made of bananas, honey and jaggery), and then after some talking(!), She relishes my peanut butter sandwich and tea and then a salad after sometime…evening she enjoys my tears (while kissing!) for some salt along with some sweet music, and then a feast! Oops I hope my Amma won’t mind telling this to all!

  18. we cant add light to the sun or add water ot the ocean. amma is like sun or ocean. we can get light from the sun and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. we are not having anything that can be given to amma. but we can reder selfless service to the needy and poor people around us and amma will take care of us. amma will give her love and affections as gift to us on her birthday.
