MOTHER – A GIFT
Yes she is a gift to this world. Her breathe refreshes breeze. Her sound becomes a chant. Her words turn into melody. She becomes a devotional song. When she humbles it is a prayer. Her eyes wake up sun and moon. Stars shine on her forehead. Her love binds humanity into one, as colourful beads around her neck. World wakes up as she wakes up. World retreats into deep sleep as she naps. Worlds live in her palm as bubble She burns herself with a smile. Spreading fragrance of love! Through space of silence she speaks, volumes and volumes of…

Alone
Alone. Waiting to be embraced. Yet gleeful, content. Gazing out to the odd world, smirking at the perfected presence. Feeling alien. Tired. Instead, found peace looking inside. Days fly in a blur, nights are lulled by silent sighs. Wrapped in that cacophony are memories of glorious past. Seeking free spirited akin souls, you smile at your feeble quest. Looking deep in the shadows, you unearth an isle of decadence. Striding ahead, a voice calls you back. You wish it dies soon. Slowing your steps, breaking the enchantment, you retreat. As all you can trust is the voice inside you. Gated solitude…

A Birthday Gift
As I fumble in darkness with fear, a soft graceful hand lifted me up, carried through dusk and dawn. I was floating on wings of a dream. Soft silky fondle of her love woke me up. Like in a cradle I hung on her beaks, nested by bonds of entwined compassion. She covered me under warmth of her wings, Often she fed me by food for thoughts. I could not gulp all she fed me. But, unaware I stomached some. As a worm I was hibernating, in the termitary of life and death. By sharp stare of love she infused…

A tribute to Love and Service
Ma, in the world external I could only see Horrors of gruesome terror around Ma! Thou hast revealed me around Thee Sheer pure love and laughter unbounded Ma, in the world external I could only hear Surly screams of sufferings and sorrows Ma, Thy loving embraces caress and rear Healing even the most stricken hearts. Ma, in the world external I could only find Souls deluded in sensual wanderings, Ma, Thy guidance shed light unbounded Saving even the most confounded souls. Wish you a very Happy Birthday AMMA, the Holiest Mother — Sridhar

Let me…
As she steps out, time bows down waiting. Sand grains grind in ecstasy by her foot falls. Her smile showers mist of jasmine, The whole world smiles in her smile. Her songs make the World sing along. Birds chirp in their best of voices. The stunned world stands still, fades out, into an assortment of colours. Each being sticks around her as butterflies. Nothing remains lively except her. We all become part of her body. By the long hands of love she hugs. The whole world’s lives reflect in her. Mother let me be a word of your mouth. Let…

Your Eternal Dance
Mother you have parted the curtain Appearing on the path before me Mother Amma, I shout joyfully Laughing, you run away, transporting the fallen leaves To a blanket of gold dust shimmering along the path Sunlight kissing and caressing the quaking trees Celebrating their oneness with your divine presence Trees and rocks luminous, vibrating in ecstasy Your form melting, Krishna/Amma embraced Blissfully dancing your eternal dance by Linda Mansberger

Don’t forsake me!
Oh Mother, how do I find thee As I mould myself into my working life Oh Mother, how do I find thee Among the concrete earth and towering glass and steel Oh Mother, how do I find thee As I play the obedient child in the world of money and profit Where among this barren world of commerce and sales Do you hide among the suits and ties Mother, don’t forsake me, stay near to my heart as I traverse the perils and pitfalls of my working life by Linda Mansberger

Near You
Unaware I reached you. Experience your grace. One benevolent look by you. I melted down. I sat closer to you, nearby your side. World outside chirps, murmurs. I felt zeroing myself. I fell silent. I have no questions; Your silence answers me. I meet you in completeness, pervasive mute divinity. Oh my mother, I smile, smile, smile. by Satheesan Rangorath
