First day in the camp

Though, only at a distance of 40 kms, it took about 75mins to reach there, as the road was not always good. In many places the roads have been washed away and in some places the river is flowing across the road with a strong current. First medical camp in flooded Bihar
6 Sep 2008, Bhavani pur, Bihar Ashram brahmachari, Dr. Ram Mohan reports: “Today’s medical camp was in Bhavanipur. We attended over 200 cases. This was our first day. The people are really poor. Most of them are anemic or have respiratory infections. multi-tasking amma

First visit to flood affected Bihar
5 Sept 2008, Purnia, Bihar After the massive flood in Bihar, which has left half the state underwater, Amma asked me to go and scope out ways in which the Ashram can help. Brahmacharini Rasamarita Chaitanya was similarly instructed by Amma. I arrived in Patna on 2nd September and met with various IAS officers. They were very impressed with the relief-work the Ashram has done in the past—including 2004 tsunami and floods and earthquakes in Gujarat and Mumbai.
