Clean Sunday
Early morning Sunday 24 October I was laid back, sipping chai, staring out my south block cell window. In the car park below there was unusual activity. Bramacharis were streaming onto a waiting bus. Ahh I remembered the Sunday Clean Up program. Early in the week I had enthusiastically volunteered to join up. I weighed the alternatives, procrastinated but sense of duty won out and I dashed for the bus. Our group went to Karunappally and pulled up out front of the Siva Temple. Amma s Dream
Our Amma too has a dream to see India clean and green; so she started the Clean-Up project let us support and not object. Amma visualizes India;her birth country with roads clean and people tidy; assuring all of drinking water safety and ensuring Mother Nature’s security. So let us all join hands to raise awareness of how we can; be eco-friendly and waste sans with Amma’s blessings we can. All our dreams Amma is fulfilling as she is loving and ‘all giving’; let us show compassion to Mother Nature for she is the one who nurtures. – Aditi Sharma

Mother of all mothers
There is a mother outside. She follows everyone everywhere, clad in white; jasmine white. She casts a glance on everything. Not even an ant escapes her vision. She spreads a fragrance around, the scent of love, the smell of compassion, the aroma of peace. She embraces and kisses every being and nonbeing, from snakes to sanyasin, atom to infinite. Sunrise over Italy
16 Oct 2010, Milno, Italy Amma’s program in Milano indeed has a unique Italian flavor. In fact, on arrival the staff was served pizza for supper, lovingly prepared by the devotees. On the evening before the program, the venue, usually an ice skating stadium was transformed into a beautiful sacred space. The central stage decoration was a three dimensional depiction of the rising sun, surmounted by the Embracing the World logo. It looked quite stunning. Storybook Switzerland
13 Oct2010 For many of us, visiting Switzerland with Amma brings back our childhood. Most of us grew up reading European fairy tales and Heidi, the classic book describing early Swiss village life, and featuring a blond pigtailed goat herding heroine. We saw many little “Heidis” during the program. Swiss children seem to be very happy and well-adjusted and much loved by the society. The hall in Winterthur could not have been more beautifully located.
