sleepless drive
21 march , bharata yatra 2008.
we reached bellari at 7 am the next day. last 20 hours we have been driving. of course there was a chai stop. but it was a straight drive. we stayed in jindal steel factory guest house. the road to the factory was horrible. that is the reason why most of them were really tired. it took almost 2.5 hrs to travel the last 36 km!
jindal is one of the leading steel factories in india. they want to be no. 1.
hundreds of truck lorries bring sand that contains the iron ore. here it is extracted and the steel plates are made. the company has their own thermal power plant and they supply the balance of the power to the state.
we left jindal at 12 noon. hardly 4 hours of rest we got. we had to travel another 200-odd km to reach hyderabad.

I’ve read articles about some workers in the steel factories in India not wearing or having the proper protective gear like goggles. Either way I know that just by passing through Amma has blessed them. Hmmm..I think the driving was the ‘rest’ for everyone except the driver! Thank you for taking the time to write these posts even though you are constantly traveling and get very little rest. We appreciate this very much Swamiji.
