after the mangalore brahmasthanam installation we started off to hyderabad at about 11 a.m.
the landscapes of western ghats are beautiful. its a lovely sight of waves of mountains one after the other. its really beautiful. on either side plantations of betel nut, pepper, cardamom and coffee. as amma pass by, coffee plants in bloom were spreading a nice fragrance from their white flowers. kilometers of plantations were on either side. its so vast.
its no wonder if karnataka overtakes kerala in coffee and pepper and the other spices. (whenever i visited wayanad, one of the coffee plantation districts of kerala, they had only complaints, that the crop was poor. they never tried to improve the cultivation seriously and sincerely. and now the suicide has started there in the district.)

amma was the state guest of karnataka govt. there was police pilot and escort for amma. it was a long journey via sringeri to shimoga, we saw the vast plantations of karnataka. then we entered the forest. the police told us that the forest is the hiding place of naxealite activities. but there was no problems. did i sleep for some time in the car?? not sure.

  1. This is not only a way to connect with my dear Ammachi and other devotees, but it is a cultural lesson as well. I was born in the United States so many of the posts are quite interesting to me as I am getting to know another part of the world. What an education!
