    18 Jan, Coimbatore, Bharata yatra 2009 During Coimbatore program, I happened to stand near Amma. I was watching Amma giving Darshan to the thousands of  devotees. Suddenly, Amma asked a man who came for Darshan, about his health. Amma asked him whether he was suffering from diabetes. He said, Yes. Amma was very much worried and asked him to sit near Her.   • Amma knows everything

    Kanyakumari,  28 Jan, Bharata Yatra 2009 At Kanyakumari, Amma had public program for the first time in the land bought by the ashram. As a chief guest to the evening program, Swami Shankaranada from Sri Ramkrishna Tapovan was invited as the chief guest. The Swami looked like small child in front of Amma. Before he gave his speech, the Swami fed Amma with halwa (oily sweet). Addressing the gathering, Swami said that he met Amma in 2007 when She visited Tirunelveli and stayed in Sharada Vidyalaya.   • Masterpiece of Synchronicity

    Masterpiece of Synchronicity 05.02.2009 Thursday Darshan in the Bhajan Hall At 9 pm I just go on stage and Amma is just eating something, looks like bread or so. Amma really likes it a lot and keeps eating, its quite big. Amma looks to all of us on the ladies side and is asking whether is has sugar made at the café.   • These Doctors will help?

    04.02.2009  Wednesday Darshan is in the Kali temple. The 2nd batch of Medical Students in AIMS, has graduated and all came to receive their blessings and certificates from Amma. For all the 96 students, a photo was made for each one as they had Darshan and received the certificate. It was so, so sweet. It was so touching. many cried. Now they have to go into different places, maybe not able to see Amma as often and they got so attached to Amma.   • South India Tour

    The 2009 South Indian Tour caravan is back home. For these three weeks, the six hundreds of us have been whirling around, day in and day out, to unload, reload, pack, unpack, get dirty and wash so many clothes, so many plates. Strangely enough, all these bus rides, all these people, all these places have gradually tended to merge into one common experience.   • Under huge tamarind trees

    The tamarind grove behind the Amrita kuteerams in Panakudi dreamt dream this amavas- new moon night. Darkness was becoming insufferable; there was even a solar eclipse the previous day. Still  there had been glorious sunrises in many parts of tamilnadu these days… The sun had risen directly in front of Amma who was giving light into the hearts of multitudes in Madurai, in Neyveli… The tamarind trees in the Panakudi grove heard about it all and dreamt of something auspicious approaching.   • God s own language

    29 jan 2009, Bharata Yatra it started in coimbatore this time. amma started to speak tamil on the microphone. she used to speak tamil long long ago during the devibhava darshan in the early days, even though it was not her mother tongue. but not otherwise. now, amma was leading the manasapuja step by step here on the mic. when amma spoke in tamil, asking people to sit straight and close their eyes, they started clapping! when amma spoke, she sounded like a small child – very sweet and innocent. many were crying listening to amma speak in their mother…

  • one who takes across the ocean

    18 jan, bhavani, bharata yatra 2009 bhavani is always fascinating. i had written about it before {click here to read}. this time it was all different. amma reached after the tour group. the water in the river was full. amma sat on the banks and straight away took the mike and asked her children to narrate some spiritual stories. in between the stories amma added pearls of wisdom to the stories – giving more depth of spiritually to the stories. myself and kannan walked around with camera trying to capture those beautiful moments with amma at this pilgrimage center against…
