Moonlit Mood, Morning Archana
Yes, going back, to the more earthly set up of the beautiful Amritapuri ashram. There were only the huts in which we stayed, with Amma’s Darshan hut around to the west side of it. It was a full moon night; time was well past 11pm, maybe nearing midnight. There was a power failure, and unlike nowadays, there weren’t any generators to keep the lights and fans on. Rainbow after the Rain
30 Oct 2007, Amritapuri After the rain comes the rainbow. The daily rains continue. Tonight, just before sunset, a brief shower came in from the west over the ocean. When it passed, a beautiful rainbow filled the sky over the mainland. It lasted about 10 minutes. Then it was followed by one of the more spectacular sunsets we’ve seen in a while. – vishnu

Turns Red in Malayalam

28 October 2007, Italy Traditionally one does not applaud a bhajan. It is a prayer set to music. The intent of singer is not to perform for others, but to pray through song. Similarly, the listener is attempting to focus on God through the medium of the song, more often than not singing along himself. The prayer becomes as much the listener’s as the leader’s.
