Amrita Chimes

08chimes.jpgDear children of Amma,www.Amritapuri.org was started to help her children to ‘be online with Amma’.To this effect, we are starting a new feature called “Amrita Chimes”.

These updated one liners with less than 10 words, are displayed on the Motherpage, next to the blog links.

“Amrita Chimes” will be updated every few hours with information about what Amma is doing or what is happening in the ashram.

We hope it will keep you connected with Amma throughout the day.

Be Online With Amma the Web Team.

Kindly post your opinions.

We would love to hear your feedback.

  1. Thankyou! I’ve been waiting for this! How wonderful it is to know what Amma is doing!

  2. What a great idea! This definitely makes me feel closer to Amma!

  3. Very good idea…..we will get the feeling that we are in Asharam….
Amrita Web Team, Thanks a lot. Let us enjoy this….
It will be great if u post live videos of AMMA’s bhajans… Shall we expect this on future???

  4. Thank you Amma. Thank you Mother. Sometimes we feel so far away but this online tool, will help your children realize that this is not true.

  5. Namaha Shivaya! This is the best thing that can happen in this web site .
Thank you Amma, for making us feel we aren’t away from you and make us feel that we are in the ashram.

It will be nice if the bhajans that are sung are also posted !

Thanks a ton to the Amrita Web Team.

  6. Thank you MAA for always being with us.

  7. Thankyou very much AMMA, i am so Happy to be with you all the time.

  8. I can hear the chimes ring as I read you

  9. This is such a wonderful idea. Thanks so much for thinking of doing this.

  10. Now I am addicted to this, but it is sad to see that last update was 11 hours ago that is Monday evening and it 10:04 AM Tuesday morning and still there is no update 🙁

  11. Thank you for this beautiful service. What seemed far is much closer and what felt like a distant twinkle is now like a warm glow. What a Grace! Thank you very very much. Kudos to the Web-team and Webmaster. Namah Shivaya.

  12. I don’t think I understand how this works. If it says raining now and I see it the next day after it is posted? I mean, it is a good idea as we all long to be there with Amma but rather than have someone putting out posts every minute, I have to eat my ego and accept that we have to miss out on all that is happening there. Maybe that will help our manas puja and diary entries and more frequent videos should suffice.

  13. Thank you very much dear Ammas children for helping those who cannot be always there. 🙂 Amma bless you.

  14. This is indeed a blessing from our beloved Amma 🙂

  15. With Amrita Chimes…. It has been simply great to know what is happening at the Ashram daily. Cheers to the Amrita Web team for this
great effort. Can the team replace the time mention from hours (e.g 3 hours ago to a time base e.g 11am ).
This would assist people who are overseas to visualize when actually the particular situation took place. Jai Ma.

  16. Some of you have complained that the updates posted on Amrita Chimes do not come with exact timings. Instead they say 2 minutes ago, 15 minutes ago, 30 minutes ago, 3 hours ago etc.

The reason is that Amma’s children are logging on to Amritapuri.org from all around the world. In India it is +5:30 GMT, East Coast of the United States is -5:00 GMT, West Coast is -8:00, Japan is +9:00, Spain is +1:00, Brisbane is +10:00… If we were to post with the update as 6:15 a.m., /whose/ 6:15 a.m. do we mean? It is to avoid such confusion, that the Amrita Chimes are being posted as they are.

You have to just understand that this event happened just 15 or 30 minutes ago. Simple, isn’t it?

    Anyway, remember, time is relative.

    – The web team.
