All these months after Amma’s US tour, the amritapuri ashram diary reports written by my amritapuri brothers and sisters have helped me keep my link with Amma and the ashram. when you pray for the world
With some amount of regret i am writing this blog, some unfortunate events have happened for some of the residents since amma’s left for her european tour… first was bodhamrita chaitanya, he has had to undergo a surgery to remove a brain tumor, which quickly developed over the last couple of months. The operation was done yesterday at AIMS, by bramhachari doctor Ashok and colleagues. waiting to see and talk
As usual, when Amma leaves Amritapuri, it feels like a desert – as if it has not rained for years. This time too after Amma has left for Europe tour, everything feels lifeless here. But Our all compassionate Mother showers us with rains of pure Love without making us suffer too much. our Amma, feels our plight before even we ourselves can feel it. learning from nature
Om Amriteswaryai Namaha I had been thinking of writing about this incident on the blog for a while but somehow it didn’t come through. My friend and I generally get to the institute (across the backwaters) after the morning archana and tea, to start our work early. While waiting for the boat we used to watch the kites deftly swooping in on the fishes in their morning hunts and the crows endlessly trying to tail and chase them. Soo much has happened in the last 24 hrs! well, it all started out being a normal wednesday, but it was 3 pm and still amma hadnt come out…i was on my way back from the college and i met a bramhachari on the bridge coming from the ashram, we exchanged the usual conversation, first question is always “is amma out yet?” He sadly shook his head and said “No”, so i went back to my room and then i went to the bookstall and was just talking with fellow bramhacharies and “ding!”. The bhajans were pure bliss tonight. She sang the following songs. Here I sit in Paris in front of my computer reading the blogs from the devotees at Amritapuri, with tears streaming down my face because all the little details that I read make me feel even more all the love and devotion of being in the ashram. Right Use of Technology
After a real long day in the stall, I heard that Amma was singing bhajans and rushed to the stage where She was giving darshan. It was almost 4am in the morning and Amma had been on stage since 9:30 the previous morning. I was just transfixed on Amma and Her singing. These are scenes which one has to see and experience, not any amount of words suffice in describing these moments. Flowers of My Heart
Towards the end of the Birthday Darshan, Bhavani brought up a computer and small camera to the stage. An internet connection had been established between Amritapuri and Amma’s Ashram in San Ramon, California . With Amma’s Grace, I was almost right next to Her on the stage and was able to see the entire interaction. It was the second time I was present to witness Amma communicating via the internet – the first was in Boston, USA, during the summer tour where a connection had been established back to Amritapuri for the Ashramites to watch Devi Bhava.
